Job Description

As a DORT Solution Designer, you will be responsible for data architecture to support data processing, modeling, integrations, and reporting. You will also contribute to frameworks for data cataloging, security, privacy, and lifecycle management, collaborating with business and technology leads to identify relevant solutions. This role involves working closely with multi-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives. The results achieved in DORT are critical for regulatory reporting and data requests from Group Risk, Operational Resilience, and Data Governance Teams. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Project Management, and Delivery SMEs to ensure technology aligns with business strategy and customer expectations.
Must have:
  • Lead architectural designs for information leverage.
  • Coordinate product lifecycle management.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps.
  • Conduct market analysis and research new technologies.
  • Coordinate SaaS solutions development and lifecycle.
  • Perform business analysis for requirements.
  • Provide consulting on product strategy.
  • Lead data product development.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • At least 3 years in Financial Services sector.
  • Solid grasp of data architecture frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling tools and databases.
  • Understanding of Master Data Management.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in business analysis techniques.
  • Experience in consulting services.
  • Experience developing data products.
Good to have:
  • Master's degree or demonstrable experience.

1.0 Role Profile

As a DORT Solution Designer, you will handle data architecture to support data processing, modelling, integrations, and reporting. You will also make valuable contributions to frameworks for data cataloguing, security, privacy, and lifecycle management, collaborating with business and technology leads to identify relevant solutions. You will work closely with multi-functional teams ensuring successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and business objectives.

The results for DORT have high impact and are critical to comply to the regulatory reporting and data asks from Group Risk, Operational Resilience and Data Governance Teams. The solution designer will work with Product Owners, Project Management and Delivery SMEs to ensure the technology we delivery aligns to the business strategy and customer expectations.

The role sits within the Corporate Technology Delivery function working with the Senior Product Manager and provides technology services to Corporate Functions Teams for LSEG.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsible are:

  • Lead architectural designs to optimize information leverage, integration, performance, and availability. Maintain data architecture framework, standards, principles, artifacts and roadmap.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Coordinate the entire product lifecycle from conceptualisation to retirement, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements.
  • Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and key checkpoints for product development.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends. Research and recommend new technologies, techniques, and tools.
  • SaaS Solutions Management: Coordinate the development and lifecycle of SaaS solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis to understand and document business requirements, processes, and workflows. Define data flows and lead in designing data solutions considering business requirements, functionality, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
  • Consulting: Provide authoritative consulting to internal and external partners on product strategy, implementation, and optimization. Define standard methodologies in data migration, integration, extraction, and destruction.

  • Data Product Development: Lead the development of new data products, using data analytics and insights to build innovative solutions.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience as a Data Architect, with at least 3 years in the Financial Services sector.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree or demonstarble experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Solid grasp of data architecture frameworks, standards, principles, and data integration patterns
    • Experience with data catalog tools, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure), SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, data modelling tools, databases, and reporting tools.
    • Understanding of Master Data Management technology, GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, predictive modelling, NLP, text analysis, Machine Learning, data mining, visualization, and programming languages (Python preferred).
    • Experience with on-premise to cloud migration projects, integration projects, and onboarding SaaS solutions
  • SaaS Expertise: Demonstrable experience in leading SaaS solutions, including deployment, maintenance, and optimization.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain high-end technical concepts to non-technical partners.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills to deliver clear and engaging presentations.
  • Business Analysis: Proficient in business analysis techniques and tools.
  • Consulting Skills: Experience in providing consulting services and strategic advice.
  • Data Product Development: Experience in developing data products and demonstrating data analytics.
