Position Intro
The Sr. Sales Analyst will play a crucial part in driving revenue growth, supporting sales strategies, and optimizing sales performance.  This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing sales and market data, preparing reports, and providing actionable insights and valuable feedback to inform our digital sales strategy and promotional activities.  A successful candidate will have strong sales analytics/forecasting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities
  • Forecasting
    • Analyze internal and external data sources to develop accurate digital sales forecasts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital Sales and Finance to ensure the monthly SKU level forecasts are well thought out, data driven, and all variances to plans are supported with proper reasoning and documentation. 
    • Be an expert user of our forecasting software (Vanguard/Tagetik).
    • Collaborate with Finance to update Essbase with the most current demand plans with regards to units, ASP’s and revenue.
  • Reporting
    • Own the preparation and distribution of the weekly key standard reports that showcase the health of our business and line of sight against goals and objectives for Sales leadership and Executive Management. 
    • Present to C-Level Executives.
    • Ensure data accuracy in all reports and internal systems. 
  • Analysis
    • Analyze sales and market data to provide actionable insights for optimizing sales strategies and promotion planning.
    • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support for strategic initiatives. 
  • Process Improvement
    • Assist in implementing process improvements to increase forecasting accuracy and optimize sales reporting/process.

Required Experience & Skills:
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in sales analytics, business analysis, finance, operations, or related functional area, preferably in the video game industry.
  • Excellent analytical, forecasting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.  Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations. 
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate with staff of all levels and divisions, including executive management.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize initiatives effectively, and learn new skill sets and data tools quickly.
  • Strong interest in console/PC video games.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with data/BI tools such as Tableau, Hyperion, and Vanguard/Tagetik.
  • Bilingual English/Japanese a plus.
 
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Physical Demands
Ability to lift objects of up to 25 pounds in weight.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Salary Range:
$95,000 - $119,000 *Compensation for this position will be determined based on relevant factors including, but not limited to, industry knowledge, experience, qualification, and skill set.
