This Staff System Engineer role focuses on leading the design, implementation, and support of enterprise collaboration and mail security solutions. The candidate will support O365 technologies like Exchange, Teams telephony, E-Discovery, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Copilot, Exchange Online, Proofpoint, Duo Circle, and identity integrations. Responsibilities include managing M365 collaboration services, Exchange Online, secure email systems (DKIM, DMARC, SPF), and Microsoft Purview for compliance and data protection, ensuring governance and providing L3/L4 support.
Must Have:- Lead design, implementation, and support of enterprise collaboration and mail security solutions.
- Support O365 technologies (Exchange, Teams telephony, E-Discovery, Entra ID), Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Copilot, Exchange Online, Proofpoint, Duo Circle and identity integrations.
- Design, implement, and support enterprise M365 collaboration services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot).
- Manage Exchange Online environments, including hybrid deployments, mail flow, policies, and compliance.
- Integrate and support Proofpoint and Duo Circle for secure email delivery and threat protection.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions for compliance, DLP, eDiscovery, insider risk management.
- Enforce governance for collaboration platforms, ensuring compliance and security.
- Provide level 3/4 support for productivity and collaboration apps in M365.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure email systems using DKIM, DMARC, and SPF protocols.
- Configure and manage SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint On-Premises environments.
- Perform regular system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Manage SharePoint site collections, permissions, and user accounts.
- Implement and maintain SharePoint governance policies and standards.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security and vendors to integrate Microsoft 365 with other systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues and incidents.
- Support Teams voice and collaboration features, including telephony and meeting solutions.
- Provide On-Call support during off-duty hours on a scheduled/rotating basis.
- Support and administer Proofpoint email gateway and security platforms.
- Ample knowledge of eDiscovery tools and familiarity with Boolean searches.
- Automate routine administrative tasks with PowerShell and scripting.
- Establish monitoring, reporting, and dashboards for collaboration and identity systems.
- Partner with vendors (Microsoft, Proofpoint, Duo Circle) to resolve complex issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or engineering related field or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments with a focus on Microsoft 365 and email security.
- 1+ year working experience with Azure Cloud.
- Strong understanding of DKIM, DMARC, SPF, and secure email relay protocols.
- Proven experience administering Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Purview modules.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and M365 Admin Center.
- SharePoint Environment Administration, support and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of M365 compliance, data retention, and governance best practices.
- Good Knowledge on ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
