Job Description

You will join the Radio Navigation Products and Data Links (PLN) laboratory, which develops MMR landing aid products, radio altimeters, and IFF systems for terrestrial, maritime, and military/civil aircraft platforms. The role involves managing system engineering activities at the solution level, ensuring project commitments, and meeting stakeholder requirements. You will define the system development cycle, ensure consistency of engineering processes, organize co-engineering, approve engineering baselines, and optimize technical work by consolidating planning, risks and opportunities, and organizing engineering reviews from design to validation and acceptance.
Must Have:
  • Drive System Engineering activities at the Solution level
  • Guarantee project commitments, including stakeholder requirement satisfaction under constraints provided by the Architect and Project Design Authority
  • Define the system development cycle and adjust the engineering environment
  • Ensure overall consistency of engineering processes, practices, and tools
  • Organize co-engineering with other stakeholders (industry, service…)
  • Approve engineering baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL) and engineering plans for lower-level elements or components
  • Optimize technical work by consolidating planning, risks and opportunities, and organizing engineering reviews from design to validation and acceptance

Your daily life

The Gennevilliers Campus is the heart of design, development, and support activities for major defense systems: radiocommunications, resilient network and infrastructure systems, satellite communications, collaborative combat, and cybersecurity. Located north of Paris, it is easily accessible by public transport.

You will join the Radio Navigation Products and Data Links (PLN) laboratory, responsible for developing the MMR family of aircraft landing aid products, radio altimeters, as well as IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) systems. All these products are embedded on terrestrial, maritime, or airborne military and civil platforms for clients in France and for export.

The laboratory is involved throughout the product lifecycle, from upstream phases (Offers, product policy) to development, qualification, and industrialization phases. It also participates in commissioning and platform testing with clients and in production support.

As System Project Manager, you will:

  • Drive System Engineering activities at the Solution level,
  • Guarantee project commitments, including stakeholder requirement satisfaction under constraints provided by the Architect and the Project Design Authority,
  • Define the system development cycle and adjust the engineering environment,
  • Ensure overall consistency of engineering processes, practices, and tools,
  • Organize co-engineering with other stakeholders (industry, service…),
  • Approve engineering baselines (FBL, ABL, PBL) and engineering plans for lower-level elements or components,
  • Optimize technical work by consolidating planning, risks and opportunities and by organizing engineering reviews from design to validation and and acceptance.

Your profile

  • Engineer/Master's degree, do you have at least 5 years of experience in an equivalent position in aeronautical equipment development?
  • Do you have good knowledge of the civil and military aeronautical context and equipment architectures?
  • Do you have knowledge in Hyperfrequency, analog/digital electronics, signal and information processing, propagation and radio communications?
  • Are your good adaptability, autonomy, rigor, and organization characteristic of you?
  • Do you enjoy teamwork in a multi-project context and have a results-oriented mindset?
