Lorikeet is seeking a Technical Recruiter to scale its software engineering and Forward Deployed AI Engineering teams in Sydney, Australia, the US, and London. The role involves owning end-to-end technical hiring, partnering with leadership to build a high-talent team, and delivering exceptional candidate experiences. This mid-level position requires autonomy, strategic thinking, and inclusivity. The recruiter will manage full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, collaborate with hiring managers to define needs and processes, source and close high-caliber talent, maintain clean pipelines, and coach interviewers. The ideal candidate is passionate about employer branding and candidate experience, understands the Sydney technical market, and can search globally. Experience hiring engineers at top startups or technical companies, filling roles across various specializations, and working in high-velocity environments is expected.
Must have:
  • 4-7+ years of experience hiring engineers
  • Filled roles across full-stack, infra, AI, solutions engineering
  • Worked in high hiring bar and velocity environments
  • Comfortable juggling multiple searches
  • Writes great outreach and runs high-signal screens
  • Organized, warm, responsive, autonomous across time zones

Lorikeet is the most powerful customer support AI for complex businesses like fintechs, healthtechs, marketplaces and delivery services.

We’re doing this by building ground up from the premise that most support responses should be automated with transparent, customizable AI, and that support teams should spend their time managing automation and engaging with complex cases, not grinding through high volumes of simple tickets. About the role and you

We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter to help us scale our software engineering organization and Forward Deployed AI Engineering team, in Sydney, Australia, the US and London.

You’ll own end-to-end hiring for all technical roles. You’ll partner closely with the leadership team to help us build a high-talent team and deliver world-class candidate experiences.

This is a mid-level role for someone who’s comfortable running point on multiple searches at once, and who knows how to operate autonomously, strategically, and inclusively.

What you’ll do

  • Run full-cycle recruiting for technical roles across functions and levels

  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify needs, shape roles, and build effective processes

  • Source and help close high-caliber talent, particularly in the Sydney market

  • Deliver great candidate experiences with timely comms, clarity, and context

  • Partner with the leadership team to refine our employer brand

  • Keep pipelines and systems clean and up to date (we use Ashby)

  • Collaborate with and coach interviewers and hiring managers as needed

The right candidate

We’re looking for someone who gets excited about employer branding, candidate experience, and building teams that last through the highs and lows of growth. The ideal candidate knows the Sydney technical market very well, but is comfortable searching across geis, and can quickly identify high-calibre candidates.

  • Have worked in environments with high hiring bars and high velocity

  • Are comfortable juggling multiple searches while keeping things thoughtful and personal

  • Write great outreach and know how to run high-signal screens

  • Are organized, warm, responsive, and comfortable working autonomously across time zones
