Job Description

Join the TVH Electronics Quality & Support team as a Technical Support Technician, assisting internal and external customers with electrical/electronic machine issues. You'll troubleshoot, perform real-life tests, and research technical information. This role requires a technical secondary diploma in electronics/electromechanics, practical machine experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Dutch and English. You'll work with Office tools, Google Drive, and Salesforce, contributing to a knowledge base. Enjoy a hybrid work model, flexible hours, and a supportive team environment.
Must have:
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction for the Electronics department.
  • Guarantee the quality of products.
  • Provide help to internal and external customers in solving electrical/electronic problems in their machine.
  • Acquire daily knowledge about various sensors, potentiometers, printed circuit boards, joysticks, altimeters, chargers, batteries.
  • Learn daily about the technology of forklifts, aerial work platforms, pallet trucks, solar.
  • Perform real-life tests on machines to diagnose errors.
  • Look up error codes, diagrams, manuals, and technical info to provide to customers.
  • Consult with colleagues to find the best solutions and store knowledge in a knowledge base.
  • Analyze and solve technical problems remotely, prioritizing correctness and customer-friendliness.
  • Possess a technical secondary A2 (TSO) diploma in electronics/electromechanics.
  • Have practical experience with machines.
  • Possess extensive technical knowledge and a passion for technology.
  • Be able to independently review technical documents and write notes.
  • Be able to independently perform practical diagnostic tests on a machine.
  • Enjoy problem-solving thinking and analysis.
  • Be very communicative and customer-oriented.
  • Work daily with standard Office tools, Google Drive, and Salesforce.
  • Have an IT mindset for using diagnostic tools and activating licenses.
  • Be a team player and able to work independently.
  • Have good knowledge of Dutch and English.
Good to have:
  • A bachelor's degree in electronics/electromechanics
  • Knowledge of French
  • Knowledge of forklift technology

Your role and responsibilities

Are you also interested in maintaining high customer satisfaction for our Electronics department and guaranteeing the quality of our products in a young & pleasant team? Then the Quality & Support team of TVH Electronics is the right place for you to develop your talent! Soon you might be part of our HETS team (Helpdesk Electronics Technical Support) where you provide help to both internal and external customers in solving electrical/electronic problems in their machine. As a troubleshooter, you will look for the solution for our customer!

What can you expect from this challenging, educational job?

  • Daily acquisition of knowledge about all kinds of sensors (hall, optical, pressure, temperature, bearing, etc...), potentiometers, printed circuit boards, joysticks, altimeters, chargers, batteries, and much more!
  • You learn daily about the technology of forklifts, aerial work platforms, pallet trucks, solar, etc...
  • Perform real-life tests on machines to diagnose errors so that we can help our customer as quickly and detailed as possible.
  • You can count on daily feedback from more than 60 experienced Electronics technicians.
  • You will look up error codes, diagrams, manuals, all kinds of technical info to provide to our customer. Learning is a certainty for you!
  • You often consult with your colleagues to find the best solution. We store this knowledge in our 'knowledge base' so that we can offer our customer efficient and customer-oriented service and continue to expand the knowledge of our quality team.

Your profile

  • Required education level: you have a technical secondary A2 (TSO) diploma in electronics/electromechanics and you have practical experience with machines. A bachelor's degree is an added value, but not required.
  • You have extensive technical knowledge and a passion for technology. This enables you to independently review technical documents and write notes.
  • You are not afraid to independently perform practical diagnostic tests on a machine. However, you can always count on the support of your team members.
  • You enjoy problem-solving thinking and analysis.
  • You enjoy learning daily.
  • You are very communicative and customer-oriented. You are not deterred from providing technical assistance by phone or email.
  • You work daily with standard Office tools, Google Drive, and help customers via Salesforce.
  • Some IT mindset for using diagnostic tools & activating licenses.
  • You are a team player and can work independently.
  • You have good knowledge of Dutch and English. French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of forklift technology is a great asset.
