Job Description

Cisco ThousandEyes is a Digital Experience Assurance platform. This role is for an Adoption Engineer, a customer-facing technical consultant within the Systems Engineering team. The engineer will optimize product adoption and utilization by providing best practice recommendations, conducting product trainings, and managing customer roadmaps. This position requires a U.S. citizen due to work in a FedRAMP compliant environment and potential U.S. government-specified tasks.
Good To Have:
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, JavaScript)
  • Hands-on experience with ThousandEyes and/or other assurance solutions
  • General understanding of the Cisco Networking portfolio
  • Working proficiency in Spanish
Must Have:
  • 3+ years in technical customer-facing roles (Support, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services)
  • Ability to learn independently and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of network infrastructures, cloud technologies, and application frameworks
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proactively build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with customers
  • Collaborate on account strategy with Customer Success and Sales teams
  • Identify customer strategic initiatives and potential use cases
  • Drive adoption through best practice recommendations and increase customer value
  • Identify new and expansion opportunities
  • Share customer feedback and enhancement requests with Product team
  • Deliver product updates sessions highlighting new capabilities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen for FedRAMP compliant environment work

About The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Adoption Engineer to join our team of superheroes. You will have the opportunity to be the customer interface of an exciting new technology. The Adoption Engineer is a member of the ThousandEyes Systems Engineering team tasked with optimizing adoption and utilization through best practice recommendations. The Adoption Engineer, working in tandem with the Customer Success Specialist, will serve as a post sale technical consultant throughout the customer lifecycle. This role is accountable for ensuring the success of ThousandEyes customers, the execution of adoption-driven playbooks, product trainings, and customer roadmaps.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively reach out to customers to build and maintain a trusted advisor relationship and create technical champions
  • Collaborate with the Customer Success Specialist and Sales team on account strategy
  • Identify customer strategic initiatives and potential use cases
  • Engage with customers to drive adoption through best practice recommendations and increase the value ThousandEyes delivers to their business
  • Actively identify new and expansion opportunities
  • Share customer feedback and enhancement requests with the Product team
  • Deliver product updates sessions highlighting new capabilities that have been released

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Technical Support, Solutions Engineering, Professional Services or similar technical customer facing roles
  • Strong desire to learn and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of network infrastructures, cloud technologies and application frameworks
  • Superb communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, JavaScript)
  • Hands-on experience with ThousandEyes and/or other assurance solutions
  • General understanding of the Cisco Networking portfolio
  • Working proficiency in Spanish
