Clutch is seeking an Account Executive to manage a high-volume inside sales motion, engaging decision-makers daily. The role involves managing inbound leads and outbound prospects, driving consistent outreach, and running structured sales cycles. Responsibilities include identifying needs, positioning Clutch advertising solutions, handling objections, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, motivated by targets, and thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment, with a strong focus on communication and follow-through.

Must Have

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of inbound leads and outbound prospects
  • Drive consistent outreach across phone, email, and video
  • Prospect, research, and qualify new opportunities
  • Run short, structured sales cycles
  • Identify needs, position Clutch advertising solutions, handle objections, and close
  • Maintain solid product knowledge across Clutch placements, advertising packages, and profile enhancements
  • Track all activity, pipeline movement, and follow-ups in HubSpot with accurate, complete documentation
  • Hit or exceed monthly sales targets
  • 1+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and video
  • Comfortable managing a high volume of outreach and conversations
  • Coachable, curious, and eager to improve quickly through feedback and repetition
  • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail, especially in CRM usage
  • A resilient, self-motivated mindset with a drive to hit and exceed targets
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule from Washington, DC office

We’re looking for Account Executives who are comfortable running a high-volume inside sales motion and engaging decision-makers daily. Successful candidates have strong phone presence, communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through consistently. You should be confident presenting to business owners, motivated by hitting monthly targets, and able to manage a steady mix of calls, emails, video conversations, and follow-ups.

The right person thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment, enjoys building rapport quickly, and can identify what prospects need in order to make a confident buying decision. Curiosity, persistence, and a willingness to learn and adapt quickly are essential traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of inbound leads and outbound prospects, driving consistent outreach across phone, email, and video.
  • Prospect, research, and qualify new opportunities to keep the pipeline full and moving.
  • Run short, structured sales cycles: identify needs, position the right Clutch advertising solutions, handle objections, and close.
  • Maintain solid product knowledge across Clutch placements, advertising packages, and profile enhancements to confidently guide buyers.
  • Track all activity, pipeline movement, and follow-ups in HubSpot with accurate, complete documentation.
  • Hit or exceed monthly sales targets through disciplined activity, strong follow-through, and effective closing.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and video.

Salary at Clutch is determined based on relevant qualifications, experience, and market. For this position, the total annualized on-target earnings (OTE) is $103,000, which includes a base salary of $55,000 and a variable incentive target of $48,000. Variable compensation is uncapped and tied directly to individual sales performance, paid in accordance with the Sales Incentive Plan.
