Job Description

SOFTSWISS is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. The purpose of this role is to support accurate financial operations and insightful reporting through participation in month-end close processes, controlling workflows and payments, and ensuring timely and correct billing. The accountant will also contribute to strategic planning by preparing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads, and drive process improvements through automation initiatives. The work will be key in delivering reliable financial data to support business decision-making and organizational growth.
Must Have:
  • Higher education in finance/accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • English and Russian proficiency
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with 1C or Xero
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

Overview:

SOFTSWISS continues to expand the team and is looking for an Accountant.

We need a true, experienced and accomplished professional who shares our culture and values.

Purpose of the role:

You will be responsible for supporting accurate financial operations and insightful reporting by participating in month-end close processes, controlling workflows and payments, and ensuring timely and correct billing.
You will contribute to strategic planning by preparing budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads, while also driving process improvements through automation initiatives.
Your work will play a key role in delivering reliable financial data that supports business decision-making and organizational growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Participating in month-end-close activities
  • Workflow and payments control
  • Monthly customer’s calculations check and billing reconciliation
  • Review and control data received from business partners
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and periodical financial reporting
  • Participating in automation projects, incl. Initiating and implementation control (testing)
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts together with department heads to implement their initiatives and achieve corporate goals
  • Other Ad Hoc reports, analysis, tasks requested by management

Required Experience:

  • Higher education in finance/ accounting, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience preferably within international companies
  • Strong analytical skills
  • English and Russian (at least Upper-Intermediate, both written and oral)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial software
  • Experience with 1C and Xero or similar software
  • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organisational skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
