Manual QA Engineer – Middle

SOFTSWISS is seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join their Jackpot Aggregator team. This role involves manual API testing of web applications, creating and maintaining test documentation, designing and developing test cases, and actively participating in planning sessions. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of testing experience, strong test design skills, and expertise in API testing using tools like Postman/Swagger, along with an understanding of client-server models, HTTP, Development Lifecycle, message brokers, and Agile methodologies.

Must Have

• Perform manual API testing of web applications.
• Create and review test documentation (TestRail).
• Design and maintain Test Cases/Checklists.
• Communicate with teams regarding requirements clarifications and quality expectations.
• Actively participate in refinement and planning sessions, providing valuable feedback and accurate estimates.
• Review and analyze system specifications.
• 3+ years of experience in testing.
• Excellent test designer skills and experience in creating and maintaining test documentation.
• Experience in API testing (Postman/Swagger).
• Experienced in working with management/tracking systems.
• Understanding of the client-server model and HTTP principles.
• Understanding of Development Lifecycle.
• Understanding of message brokers.
• Understanding Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of software testing processes.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Good to Have

• Experience in working with ELK, Docker, Git (Gitlab), Kafka.
• Understanding of Git flow.

Key responsibilities:

• Manual API testing of web applications;
• Create\Review test documentation and keep it up to date (TestRail);
• Test design and development: design and maintain Test Cases/Checklists;
• Communication with teams regarding requirements clarifications and quality expectations;
• Test Activities Planning: active participation in refinement and planning sessions, providing valuable feedback and accurate estimates for testing tasks;
• Review and analyze system specifications.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in testing;
• Excellent test designer skills: great experience in creating and maintaining test documentation (check-lists, test cases, etc.) is must;
• Experience in API testing is must (Postman/Swagger);
• Experienced in working with management/tracking systems;
• Understanding of the client-server model and HTTP principles;
• Understanding of Development Lifecycle;
• Understanding of message brokers;
• Understanding Agile (Scrum) methodologies;
• Strong knowledge of software testing processes;
• Strong troubleshooting skills;
• Strong analytical skills, responsibility, self-organization, attentiveness, and good learning skills.
