The AI Business Development & Partnerships Manager will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance Razer's AI capabilities within the gaming ecosystem. Responsibilities include researching potential AI partners, developing partnership strategies, leading the partnership lifecycle, identifying business models, negotiating agreements, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful execution. The role requires staying updated on industry trends, representing Razer at events, and contributing to AI initiatives. A strong candidate will possess deep gaming industry knowledge, understanding of AI technologies, and a proven track record in business development. The role involves bridging external partners with Razer's AI leadership.

Job Responsibilities :

Razer is leading the AI Gaming frontier with products and services that are shaping the future of Gaming. To contribute to this mission, Razer is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-oriented AI Business Development & Partnerships Manager to identify, cultivate, and close strategic partnerships that enhance Razer's AI capabilities and offerings within the gaming ecosystem.

This role will be crucial in supporting Razer's phenomenal reach, creating new revenue streams, and solidifying our leadership in AI-driven gaming experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the gaming industry, a strong grasp of artificial intelligence technologies, and a proven track record in business development and strategic partnerships. A key aspect of this role will be the ability to effectively bridge external partners with Razer's internal AI leadership and technical teams.
  • Strategic Partnership Identification & Development:
    • Proactively research and identify potential AI partners (startups, technology providers, research institutions, content creators, game developers, etc.) whose AI solutions or expertise align with Razer's strategic objectives in gaming.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy that supports Razer's AI vision and secure great partnerships for AI’s suite of innovative tools.
    • Lead the entire partnership lifecycle from initial outreach and qualification to negotiation, deal closing, and ongoing relationship management.

  • Business Growth & Revenue Generation:
    • Identify and define clear business models and value propositions for potential partnerships, ensuring alignment with Razer's revenue goals and long-term strategy.
    • Drive the negotiation of complex business terms, legal agreements, and technical integrations with partners.
    • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Finance) to ensure successful execution and operationalization of partnerships, delivering tangible business results.

  • Internal AI Leadership & Stakeholder Connection:
    • Act as the primary liaison between external partners and Razer's internal AI leadership (e.g. AI Research teams, product managers responsible for AI features).
    • Effectively communicate partner capabilities, technical requirements, and potential synergies to internal AI stakeholders.
    • Facilitate technical discussions, demonstrations, and strategic planning sessions between partners and Razer's AI teams to ensure successful integration and innovation.
    • Gather internal AI needs and communicate them effectively to potential partners, ensuring proposed solutions meet Razer's evolving requirements.

  • Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends, innovations, and competitive landscape in AI within the gaming industry.
    • Represent Razer at industry events, conferences, and meetups to identify new opportunities and build a strong network.
    • Contribute to the strategic direction of Razer's AI initiatives by providing market insights and partnership recommendations.

Pre-Requisites :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree in AI/ML is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or corporate development, with a significant portion focused on technology partnerships.
  • Demonstrable experience in the gaming industry, with a strong understanding of game development, gaming platforms, and player ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts, technologies, and their applications, especially within interactive entertainment.
  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating, and closing complex strategic deals that have driven measurable business growth.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level executives both internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Good-to-have(s):

  • Experience working with or for gaming hardware companies.
  • A personal passion for gaming and the gaming community.
  • Familiarity with Razer's products and ecosystem.
