Job Summary
The Analyst Data Governance will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks and practices to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of Sphere's data assets. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to promote effective data management, creating and maintaining policies, conducting data quality assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing training on best practices.

- Create and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of data quality and integrity.
- Partner with data stewards and Sphere revenue teams to facilitate adherence to data governance practices and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation (data dictionaries, metadata, governance frameworks).
- Provide training and support on data governance policies, tools, and best practices.
- Assist in the creation and management of a data catalog.
- Define and track KPIs for data governance initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related domain.
- 2+ years of experience with SQL, Python or other programming languages.
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Alation) and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Proven experience developing data governance processes in complex organizations.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, metadata, master data, and data lineage.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Conduct regular assessments of data quality and integrity, identifying issues and recommending improvements.
- Partner with data stewards and Sphere revenue teams to facilitate adherence to data governance practices and standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and internal policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, metadata, and governance frameworks.
- Provide training and support to staff on data governance policies, tools, and best practices.
- Assist in the creation and management of a data catalog to enhance data discoverability and usability.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
What do you need to succeed?

- Minimum 4 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or related domain.

Pay Range
$65,000—$90,000 USD
