Job Description

As an Analyst I on the Central Forecasting team at DraftKings, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and optimizing marketing performance. You will leverage forecasting and data analysis to predict customer acquisition trends, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the design of machine learning models and dashboards. Your work will involve translating complex data into actionable insights, continuously improving forecasting methodologies, and supporting high-visibility projects to shape long-term marketing strategy.
Good To Have:
  • Python/R experience.
  • Exposure to data science principles, including machine learning, regression and classification techniques, and model evaluation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Databricks, Airflow, XGBoost and Bitbucket.
  • Curiosity to learn about a complex business and a desire to grow as an analyst.
Must Have:
  • Leverage forecasting and data analysis techniques to predict new customer acquisition trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Finance, Sportsbook and Casino Operations, Research, and Customer Experience.
  • Translate complex datasets and analyses into clear, compelling insights.
  • Continuously evaluate forecasting methodologies.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses and high-visibility projects.
  • Champion best practices in data integrity, reporting, and automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or relevant discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in business analytics or data science.
  • Practical experience with SQL/Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, experimental design, and hypothesis testing methods.

What you'll do as Analyst I, Customer Forecasting

  • Leverage forecasting and data analysis techniques to measure, monitor, and predict new customer acquisition trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Finance, Sportsbook and Casino Operations, Research, and Customer Experience to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities in our forecasts.
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of machine learning models, dashboards, and other diagnostic tools that improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Translate complex datasets and analyses into clear, compelling insights that inform decision-making for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Continuously evaluate forecasting methodologies, incorporating new data sources and approaches to improve precision and scalability.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses and high-visibility projects that drive innovation and help shape long-term marketing strategy.
  • Champion best practices in data integrity, reporting, and automation to ensure consistent, reliable insights.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or another relevant discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in business analytics or data science.
  • Practical experience with SQL/Snowflake and Tableau. Python/R experience is a plus.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 64,000.00 USD - 80,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
