Job Description

VALEO Vision Systems is looking for an apprentice to join our maintenance team in the frame of a 2-years’ apprenticeship contract (M/F). You will be working within a site dealing with R&D, manufacturing and sales of vision systems for automotive industry. The main mission of this site is to develop and produce vision systems which help to improve safety and comfort in vehicles. This apprenticeship will start in September / October 2024 and will last two years.
Must have:
  • Be responsible for preventing breakdowns on production equipment by ensuring their good operation and carrying out interventions when they are necessary
  • Analyze the causes of breakdowns and suggest improvements to avoid them
  • Monitor and ensure the performance of equipment in terms of quality and productivity
  • Provide technical assistance to operators
  • Participate in the improvement of equipment by implementing the "Plan Do Check Act" methodology
  • Ensure the respect of health, safety and environment charts
  • Prepare and participate in meetings related to activities

Section 1 - Job Summary

Section 2 - Job Responsibilities

You will work under the responsibility of a manager who will support you to identify your professional objectives and develop your skills. Your main missions will be the following ones:

  • Be responsible for preventing breakdowns on production equipment by ensuring their good operation and carrying out interventions when they are necessary;
  • Analyze the causes of breakdowns and suggest improvements to avoid them;
  • Monitor and ensure the performance of equipment in terms of quality and productivity;
  • Provide technical assistance to operators;
  • Participate in the improvement of equipment by implementing the "Plan Do Check Act" methodology;
  • Ensure the respect of health, safety and environment charts;
  • Prepare and participate in meetings related to activities.

Section 3 - Job Qualifications

We are looking for candidates having the following knowledge and skills:

  • Ability to analyze and synthesize;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Good communication skills and ability to convince;
  • Organized and rigorous mindset;
  • A first experience in an industrial environment would be appreciated;
  • Technical interest;
  • Knowledge in mechanics, electricity or mechatronics;
  • French and English language skills : intermediate level.
