Job Summary

A career in PwC's Independence function involves extensive compliance monitoring and independence assessment according to regulations. This role focuses on developing a holistic approach to risk, protecting PwC businesses, facilitating strategic decision-making, and enhancing compliance. You will assist in all stages of compliance programs, including assessments, development, transformation, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance, helping PwC design effective compliance initiatives to proactively manage compliance programs.

Must Have

  • Manage core Independence & Compliance processes by analyzing potential breaches and preparing breach reporting.
  • Apply complex regulatory and policy requirements to facts and circumstances, providing practical solutions.
  • Analyze PwC services and commercial relationships to identify issues and advise on solutions.
  • Advise engagement teams on Independence rules and policies.
  • Train users and ensure correct use of PwC Global compliance systems.
  • Develop training materials and deliver Independence & Compliance training.
  • Ensure Independence controls and Compliance monitoring activities are appropriately applied.
  • Manage service delivery to ensure Independence & Compliance queries are answered promptly.
  • Analytical, written, and communication skills.
  • Focus on client service and ability to work with teams.
  • Commercially aware and willing to provide practical and timely advice.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders effectively.

Our team helps PwC develop and design effective compliance initiatives that allow us to proactively manage our compliance programs. You will assist through all stages of the compliance programs including compliance assessments, development and transformation, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.

As a Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues. As part of our Independence & Compliance team, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Manage core Independence & Compliance processes by analyzing potential breaches and preparing breach reporting.
  • Apply complex regulatory and policy requirements to a range of facts and circumstances, and provide practical solutions in novel scenarios.
  • Analyze PwC services and other commercial relationships to identify potential issues and advise on how to address such issues.
  • Participate in an international network of Independence specialists.
  • Advise engagement teams on the application of Independence rules and policies.
  • Train users and ensure the correct use of PwC Global compliance systems.
  • Develop training materials and process documents, and deliver Independence & Compliance training across the firm.
  • Ensure Independence controls and Compliance monitoring activities are appropriately applied.
  • Manage service delivery to ensure that Independence & Compliance queries are answered promptly.
  • Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives.
  • Use feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness, personal strengths and address development areas.
  • Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, and coach them to deliver results.

Job Requirements

  • Analytical, written and communication skills, focus on client service and ability to work with teams will be crucial in this role.

Experience Required

  • ACA with at least 1 year of work experience post qualification / or
  • ACCA with at least 4 years of work experience / or
  • Articleship completed from Big 4
