Job Summary
The Associate Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial, administrative, and accounting support by ensuring the company receives payments for sales and properly records transactions. This role involves processing receipts, resolving discrepancies, collecting payments, maintaining records, and generating reports. The specialist will also handle client communication, portal management, AR aging, and account reconciliation to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
Must Have
- Process, verify, and post receipts for sales rendered
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Process and record transactions
- Maintain records regarding payments and account statuses
- Collect payments from clients and ensure they are done on time
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients
- Generate reports and statements for internal use
- Perform outbound collection calls and other communication to facilitate timely collection
- Responsible for client portal set up and uploading invoices
- Maintain focus on the AR aging for all business units
- Perform timely follow-up on payment arrangements
- Perform timely reconciliation of client accounts
- Respond to internal and external client collection and payment inquiries
- Coordinate with sales, treasury, and other operational teams
- 2+ years in Collections or Accounts Receivable or Order to Cash process
- Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) degree

The Associate Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial, administrative and accounting support by ensuring the company receives payments for sales and properly records the transactions by posting receipts and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and post receipts for sales rendered.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process and record transactions.
- Maintain records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtain information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up to date.
- In charge of collecting payments from clients and ensure they are done on time.
- Perform administrative duties, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generate reports and statements for internal use.
- Perform outbound collection calls and other communication in a professional manner to facilitate the timely collection of client payments, while also maintaining and improving customer relations.
- Responsible for client portal set up and uploading invoices on different client portals.
- Maintain focus on the AR aging for all business units.
- Perform timely follow-up on payment arrangements.
- Perform timely reconciliation of client accounts to ensure the accurate reporting of client balances/statements.
- Respond to internal and external client collection and payment inquiries.
- Coordinate with sales, treasury, and other operational teams to support the collection effort.
- Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to keep job knowledge current.
Required Qualifications:
- Years of Experience : 2+ years in Collections or Accounts Receivable or Order to Cash process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Commerce, MBA or CA inter (Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant)
Education:
Bachelor of Commerce (B.com)
