Position Summary: As the Associate Art Director for this project, you will play a critical role in shaping the artistic direction of the game's expansions. This role involves collaborating closely with the Art Director and technical artists to ensure that all visual elements are consistent with the game’s established style and resonate with both Eastern and Western cultural aesthetics. You will be responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of art assets, refining production processes, and maintaining the highest quality standards throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Artistic Vision: Define and design the artistic style, blending cultural themes to create a unique visual experience that appeals to a global audience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with technical artists and other team members to produce art assets, providing guidance to ensure consistency with the established artistic vision.
  • Process Development: Develop and document production workflows to enhance efficiency in art creation and implementation.
  • Quality Control: Review and validate all art assets to ensure they meet the project's quality standards and adhere to style guidelines.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, artistic techniques, and cultural influences to continually evolve the artistic direction of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, or a related field, or an equivalent portfolio of work.
  • 8+ years of experience in video game art, with a proven track record in a leadership role such as Lead Artist or Associate Art Director on a shipped AAA game.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Experience working with technical artists and familiarity with production pipelines in the gaming industry.
  • A passion for storytelling, cultural exploration, and creating visually stunning, immersive experiences.

Compensation:

Salary: $100,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
