The Email Operations Associate Manager is a technical role responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining email newsletter templates, automated user journeys, email personalization and testing the email user experience for accuracy. This role supports email newsletters operationally across 12+ markets and 16+ brands including Vogue; Architectural Digest; Vanity Fair; GQ; WIRED.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and update email templates based on brand requests and email strategy
- QA email campaigns for clarity, grammar, spelling, link functionality and inbox display
- Set-up, QA, and launch automated email flows
- Follow and enforce email best practices for healthy deliverability and active user engagement
- Enforce brand design guidelines
- Follow and enforce data privacy protection regulations across the US and all international markets
- Regularly audit email user experience across all markets
- Maintain close working relationships with cross functional teams
Essential Skills & Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years experience working in email or a similar role
- Minimum 1-2 years experience working directly in an ESP or marketing automation tool. Sailthru experience is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced working environment
- Proficiency with Google documents & spreadsheets (or Excel/Word)
- Strong creative problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate technical information with non technical stakeholders
- Intermediate working knowledge of HTML/CSS code
- Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team
- Working knowledge of 1st and 3rd party data is a plus
This is a guild position.
The expected base salary range for this position is from $71,000-$80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
