The Backend Engineer will be crucial in designing and developing new product features, enhancing existing applications, and maintaining technical documentation. Key responsibilities include improving the reliability and scalability of back-end systems, contributing to architectural shifts towards microservices, and monitoring system stability. The role also involves active participation in team meetings, collaborating with mobile teams on shared functionalities, and presenting demos. This position requires a proactive individual eager to contribute to a leading health tech company.
Good To Have:
- Experience with distributed and high-load systems.
- Experience with orchestrators: AWS services, Kubernetes/Helm.
- Experience with Istio.
- Experience with search engine technologies (ElasticSearch, OpenSearch, Apache Solr).
- Practical experience in creating architectural diagrams (PlantUML, Mermaid).
- Experience using AWS IoT, MQTT.
Must Have:
- Design and develop new product functionality.
- Improve existing applications and maintain technical documentation.
- Enhance reliability and scalability of back-end systems.
- Contribute to back-end architecture decisions, including microservices transition.
- Monitor stability of back-end systems.
- Participate in team meetings and demo presentations.
- Interact with mobile teams for shared functionality.
- At least 4 years of back-end development experience.
- Experience with PHP 8.0+, OOP principles, and commercial GoLang experience.
- Proficiency in Symfony or Laravel frameworks.
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL DBMS.
- Familiarity with Redis, AWS ElastiCache.
- Experience with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and background job processing.
- Knowledge of RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or Amazon SQS.
- Practical experience with microservices architecture and REST API development.
- Understanding of SOLID, design patterns, and 12-Factor App methodology.
- Ability and practical experience in writing unit tests (PHPUnit).

What you will need for this:
- At least 4 years of back-end development experience;
- Experience with PHP 8.0+, knowledge of OOP principles;
- Experience with GoLang (commercial experience);
- Experience using Symfony or Laravel frameworks;
- Experience using MySQL or PostgreSQL DBMS;
- Experience with Redis, AWS ElastiCache;
- Experience with Linux environment, CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and background job processing;
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, or Amazon SQS;
- Practical experience with microservices architecture and REST API development;
- Understanding of software development principles and best practices (SOLID, design patterns, 12-Factor App methodology);
- Ability and practical experience in writing unit tests (PHPUnit);
- Desire to learn and constantly acquire new skills.
