Role Overview

We’re hiring a BI Manager embedded in Finance to build the business intelligence function that powers planning, reporting, and decision‑making. You’ll start as a hands‑on player‑coach: designing our semantic layer, standing up Tableau/Looker dashboards, reviewing and improving data pipelines, and partnering with Business Systems as they hire BI Analysts who will transition to your reporting line. You’ll also help stand up our financial planning model and ensure a clean handshake between the data warehouse and planning tools.

What You’ll Do

  • Build the BI org in Finance: Define the team charter, operating model, and hiring plan. Provide dotted‑line guidance to BI Analysts hired by Business Systems and transition them to direct management as the team scales.
  • Own the metrics & semantic layer: Establish a governed KPI catalog (company, segment, function), metric definitions, and a single source of truth for exec reporting.
  • Dashboards & self‑service: Design, build, and maintain executive and functional dashboards in Tableau or Looker (LookML); enable self‑service with curated datasets.
  • Data quality & pipelines: Partner with Business Systems/Data Engineering to review ELT/ETL pipelines, implement tests/alerts, and ensure reliability, timeliness, and completeness across key sources (e.g., NetSuite ERP, Salesforce CRM, HRIS).
  • Modeling for Finance: Create finance‑ready data models for revenue, opex, and headcount; manage master data, mapping tables, and dimensional design that align to the GL and cost‑center structure.
  • Planning systems integration: Help set up and maintain our planning model (e.g., Anaplan); design data contracts and automated connectors from the warehouse to planning.
  • Reporting cadence: Produce board/ELT reporting packages, variance bridges, and driver trees; automate recurring reporting with clear "so‑what" insights and owner actions.
  • AI‑assisted analytics: Pilot anomaly detection, narrative generation, and reconciliation automations to accelerate monthly/quarterly cycles.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 6–10+ years in Analytics/BI with meaningful time supporting Finance/FP&A; proven success building or leading a small BI team while remaining hands‑on.
  • Technical depth: Advanced SQL; experience with BigQuery (preferred) or similar cloud warehouses; familiarity with dbt/Fivetran/Airflow (or equivalents) a plus.
  • BI tools: Expertise in Tableau or Looker (LookML) and dashboard design best practices.
  • Source systems: Experience with NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) strongly preferred; comfortable with their data models, connectors, and reporting nuances.
  • Planning exposure: Experience enabling FP&A workflows and connecting warehouse data to planning tools (Anaplan or similar).
  • Data governance: Comfort establishing metric definitions, data contracts, and test/monitoring frameworks.
  • Communication: Executive‑caliber storytelling; ability to influence cross‑functionally (Finance, Business Systems, RevOps, Delivery, People).
  • Mindset: Player‑coach, systems thinker, bias‑to‑action, and outcome‑focused.

Values:

  • We are client first: We put our clients at the center of everything we do, because their success is the ultimate measure of our value.
  • We work at Start-Up Speed: We move fast, stay agile and favor action because momentum is the foundation of perfection
  • We are Al forward: We help our clients build the future of Al and implement it in our own roles and workflow to amplify productivity.

Advantages of joining Turing:

  • Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week)
  • Awesome colleagues (Surround yourself with top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc. as well as people with deep startup experience)
  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible working hours
