Job Summary

Joyteractive is a leading mobile game developer and publisher specializing in puzzle games, with a team of 80+ professionals. Their flagship game, Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle, consistently ranks in the top word puzzle games. They are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to support and develop the company's legal function, focusing on mobile puzzle and casual games for iOS and Android platforms. The role involves drafting and negotiating various agreements, advising on IP matters, and ensuring legal compliance.

Must Have

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with employees and contractors (B2B, service, NDAs, IP transfer).
  • Prepare, review, and support agreements with partners (advertising networks, marketing agencies, UA services, analytics platforms).
  • Draft, review, and structure publishing agreements.
  • Advise on intellectual property matters, rights transfer, and content use.
  • Maintain and manage internal legal documentation within the Cyprus legal framework.
  • Coordinate with external legal consultants on local legislation and international operations.
  • Organize and maintain the company’s legal documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Marketing teams to support legal aspects of deals and operational processes.
  • Analyze and improve legal processes to increase efficiency and transparency across teams.
  • 2+ years of experience in GameDev, Software Development or related industries.
  • Experience working with mobile stores (Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon and others).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with App Store / Google Play guidelines and applicable Data Protection laws.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating international contracts in English.
  • Solid understanding of B2B agreements, IP regulations, NDAs, SLAs and publishing agreements.
  • Understanding of the mobile game development business model (publisher roles, partners, ad networks).
  • English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher, suitable for legal correspondence and contract work.

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of taxation and document workflow specifics in B2B setups.
  • Experience supporting partnership or publishing deals in the gaming industry.

We’re looking for an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to support and develop the company’s legal function.

What are you working on?

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

  • Draft, review and negotiate agreements with employees and contractors (B2B agreements, service agreements, NDAs, IP transfer).
  • Prepare, review and support agreements with partners, including advertising networks, marketing agencies, UA services and analytics platforms.
  • Draft, review and structure publishing agreements, both as a publisher and as a development studio.
  • Advise on intellectual property matters, rights transfer and content use.
  • Maintain and manage internal legal documentation within the Cyprus legal framework (B2B contracts, compliance, taxation aspects).
  • Coordinate with external legal consultants on local legislation and international operations.
  • Organize and maintain the company’s legal documentation, including contract templates and internal records.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Product and Marketing teams to support legal aspects of deals and operational processes.
  • Analyze and improve legal processes to increase efficiency and transparency across teams.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of experience in GameDev, Software Development or related industries.
  • Experience working with mobile stores (Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon and others).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with App Store / Google Play guidelines and applicable Data Protection laws.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating international contracts in English.
  • Solid understanding of B2B agreements, IP regulations, NDAs, SLAs and publishing agreements.

  • English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher, suitable for legal correspondence and contract work.
  • Strong attention to detail, structured thinking, ability to work autonomously and build processes in an environment with low formalization.
