Must have:
  • Process and support client and sub-advisor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Fund Administration on fee calculations
  • Support regulatory compliance by assisting with key reporting requirements
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members
  • Manage mid-size projects, executing deliverables aligned with strategic goals
  • Analyze data and identify trends to support business improvement
  • Investigate and resolve queries from internal and external customers
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Implement and monitor risk controls and procedures, ensuring compliance

Job Details

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Implementation Services team at Mercer. This role will be based in Boston and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

As a Billing & Financial Analyst, you will play a vital role in managing client and sub-advisor invoicing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. You will collaborate across departments to support process improvements, lead projects, mentor junior team members, and analyze data to drive strategic initiatives—all while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery. We will count on you to:

  • Process and support client and sub-advisor invoices, ensuring accuracy, contractual compliance, and timely payments
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance and Fund Administration on fee calculations, expense rates, and payment processing
  • Support regulatory compliance by assisting with key reporting requirements and adhering to industry standards and internal procedures
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reduce operational risk.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Manage mid-size projects, executing deliverables aligned with strategic goals, delegating tasks, and reviewing outputs for quality
  • Analyze data and identify trends to support business improvement and strategic initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve queries from internal and external customers promptly and professionally
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Implement and monitor risk controls and procedures, ensuring compliance and operational integrity

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in business operations, accounting, and/or finance
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Proficient Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office
