The Business Development Representative (BDR) for Domos / SimCorp Alternatives will focus on the EMEA market, targeting the alternative investments sector. This role involves identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities through prospecting, research, and outreach to potential clients. The BDR will build intelligence, engage with key personas, support marketing events, and manage leads in Salesforce, contributing directly to revenue generation by developing prospect pipelines for the sales team.
Must Have

- Support sales with appointment setting
- Enter leads, contacts, intelligence, interaction, and maintain account information in SalesForce in a timely fashion
- Learn and effectively utilize SimCorp and Domos selling concepts and techniques
- Develop and maintain solid knowledge of SimCorp Alternatives, product offerings, and solution features/benefits for private markets and alternative asset managers

The Business Development Representative (BDR) for Domos / SimCorp Alternatives reports to the Senior Manager Business Development for EMEA and works very closely with the sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams. Your role will be fundamental, concentrating on the EMEA market and specifically targeting the alternative investments sector. This role provides a strong path for growth, helping you build the expertise to become a frontrunner in the alternatives space at DOMOS and SimCorp.
The primary responsibilities of the BDR are to target, build intelligence, and engage with key personas in the region with a remit to identify new business opportunities for the sales team, specifically within private markets, real assets, and other alternative asset classes. This person will be responsible for identifying and engaging new prospects, building early relationships through phone, email, social outreach, and in person where valuable. They will also represent DOMOS/SimCorp Alternatives at industry events and conferences, helping to drive interest and awareness across the alternatives market. . The candidate will also monitor government and public sector industries for tenders that are issued, with a focus on alternative investment mandates.

What you will be responsible for
To discover and qualify opportunities for the sales team to pursue in target accounts, the BDR will have to :
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through prospecting, research, and outreach to potential clients in the alternatives space to deliver Domos / SimCorp Alternatives messages that resonate with the recipient.
- Assists with Account-Based Marketing for key target accounts in the alternatives sector to build intelligence, share targeted content with prospects, develop relationships, and uncover opportunities.
- Support regional marketing events, webinars, and campaigns by engaging attendees and following up post-event.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage and track leads, ensuring data accuracy and reporting on lead progress and pipeline status
- Provide feedback on prospect needs, challenges, and buying behaviors to inform product development, marketing strategies, and sales initiatives
- Develop a strong understanding of the DOMOS/SimCorp Alternatives landscape to confidently lead value-led conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Meet or exceed lead generation and sales qualification targets, contributing directly to the overall revenue generation strategy
- Leverages available inside sales support tools and subscriptions.
You contribute to the team work by:
- Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure that a consistent message is communicated to our prospects, customers, or business partners in the alternatives space.
- Providing feedback on marketing campaigns based on information gathered, to contribute to campaign effectiveness.
- Supporting sales with appointment setting.
- Entering leads, contacts, intelligence, interaction, and maintaining account information in SalesForce in a timely fashion.
And to perform at a high level, the ideal candidate is also expected to:
- Learn and effectively utilize SimCorp and Domos selling concepts and techniques.
- Develop and maintain solid knowledge of SimCorp Alternatives, our product offerings, and solution features/benefits for private markets and alternative asset managers.

- Have relevant work experience (2–5 years) in a similar position either at a capital markets firm, alternative investment manager, or at a software solutions provider servicing the buy-side or sell-side markets, with a preference for experience in alternatives.
- Possess a basic understanding of capital markets, investment operations, and portfolio management systems, with exposure to private markets, real assets, or alternative asset classes via studies or a first professional experience. Knowledge of Domos, SimCorp, or competing products and services is advantageous.
- Language skills: English
- Understand the concept of complex solution selling where a consultancy approach to sales is required, especially in the context of alternative investments.
- Able to make a high volume of outreaches to present ideas and concepts that lead to prospect/client engagements in the alternatives sector.
- Knowledge of phone, email, and conversation techniques needed to identify the person in a company responsible for a specific initiative or business unit.
- Knowledge and experience in using the Salesforce and Outreach.io
