Business Intelligence Analyst

CAE is seeking a passionate Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team in Montreal. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define KPIs, analyzing complex datasets using SQL, Spark, and Python, and developing Power BI dashboards. The analyst will translate data findings into actionable recommendations, work with cross-functional teams, and identify process improvements. Key responsibilities also include compiling, cleaning, and organizing datasets, designing efficient data models, and ensuring high-quality data delivery for informed decision-making.

Must Have

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs.
• Analyze complex datasets using SQL, Spark, Python.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
• Translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional teams on data strategies.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions.
• Compile, clean, and organize datasets for analytics.
• Design and maintain efficient data models.
• Ensure high-quality data delivery and accurate reporting.
• Familiarity with data engineering tools (Azure, Fabric, Purview).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Develop scalable data models and analytics solutions in Power BI.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, DAX.
• Excellent communication skills for data insights.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving passion.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate familiarity with data engineering tools, concepts, and pipeline development processes (Azure, fabric, purview, etc.)
• Ability Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing tight deadlines with high-visibility deliverables for executives.
• Develop efficient and scalable data models and analytics solutions, particularly in Power BI.
• Proficiency in coding languages (Python, Spark, SQL, DAX etc.).
• Good expertise in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with the following tools an asset : DevOps, Databricks.
