Part Time King Air Instructor Pilot

As an Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will cultivate confidence and skill, ensuring every pilot you train is fully prepared. You will lead simulator sessions and pre-flight briefings, inspiring trust and mastery. This role involves conducting ground and flight simulator training for customers, evaluating their progress, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and instructional competency in King Air series training.

Must Have

• Conduct ground and flight simulator training for customers at Simcom by CAE.
• Evaluate customer's progress in gaining skills and knowledge.
• Maintain competency and qualification authorized to instruct.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
• Demonstrate competent and confident instructional knowledge.
• Ability to learn new skills that directly affect product value.
• Effectively evaluate customer training needs and proficiently coach and instruct.
• Employ creative and innovative teaching methods to meet individual customer needs.
• Attain applicable ratings and qualifications in an economical and timely manner.
• Current Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings.
• CFI/II/MEI Instruction experience.
• 1000 hours Dual Instruction given.
• Actual King Air flight experience (300/350 series and/or 200 series and/or 90 series).

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct ground and flight simulator training for customers at Simcom by CAE.
• Evaluate the customer’s progress in gaining skills and knowledge by the standards established at Simcom by CAE.
• Maintain competency and qualification authorized to instruct.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Job Description:

• A solid base of knowledge is an essential part of what customers expect from their instructor. You must demonstrate competent and confident instructional knowledge in a dynamic learning environment.
• Demonstrate and ability to learn new skills that directly affect product value.
• Effectively evaluate customer training needs and proficiently coach and instruct.
• Employ creative and innovative teaching methods to meet individual customer needs.
• Attain applicable ratings and qualifications in an economical and timely manner.
• A current Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings is required for full time employment. Any loss of certificate privileges may result in permanent dismissal from the company.
• Simcom by CAE officially offers training for its customers at the Lee Vista facility during normal business hours five days a week: Monday through Friday. Occasionally, however, it may be necessary to schedule an instructor for training on a Saturday and perhaps even a Sunday.
• The instructor is closer to and spends the most time with the customer than any other associate at Simcom by CAE. Because of this, the customer’s experience at Simcom by CAE is affected and shaped most by this relationship. The instructor, therefore, must be able to assess client needs with timely and effective decision making within the context of the Mission and Strategy guidelines of Simcom by CAE.
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Education, prior work experience, and specialized skill and knowledge:

• CFI/II/MEI Instruction experience is required.
• 1000 hours Dual Instruction given is required.
• Actual King Air flight experience required; 300/350 series and/or 200 series and/or 90 series.
• FAA ATP is highly preferred.
• FAA medical is highly preferred.
