Job Summary
As Central Production Manager at Goodbye Kansas Studios, you will support the successful running of the Production Department across Stockholm, London, and remote offices. You will work with the Head of Production to evaluate and oversee the development of production workflows, processes, and departmental mentorship. This role involves collaborating on team requirements, supporting projects at any stage, and coordinating interdepartmental communications and best practices.
Must Have
- Own and improve department processes, tools, and documentation (F-track, G-drive, Atlassian).
- Develop and maintain production workflows and tool documentation.
- Assist Head of Production in setting and implementing common practices.
- Act as Ftrack point person, ensuring its development and optimal use.
- Sync with Head of Production on project and team progress.
- Develop and maintain production training plans and workshops.
- Collaborate on best practices, workflows, and processes across the organization.
- Partner with Technology for software development and vendor applications.
- Liaise with department heads to prioritize Pipeline, R&D, and IT work.
- Support or manage projects and assist other production staff.
- Ensure projects follow Goodbye Kansas processes.
- Support training for production managers, coordinators, and PAs.
- Organize and chair meetings, fostering communication.
- Maintain up-to-date department wiki and documentation.
- Promote a healthy, collaborative, and creative culture.
- Ensure a safe workplace for associated teams.
Job Description
As Central Production Manager at Goodbye Kansas Studios, you will play an integral part in supporting the successful running of the Production Department, which is split across our offices in Stockholm, London and remote.
You will work with the Head of Production, evaluating and overseeing the development of production workflows and processes as well as the overall mentorship and training needs of the department. You will collaborate with the HOP, Talent Manager and the production team on continuously assessing the requirements of the production team and studio. This role also involves flexibility in supporting projects at any stage of the process, as well as interacting with other department supervisors to help coordinate interdepartmental communications and best practices.

Responsibilities
Department
- In collaboration/consultation with the Production department Take ownership of the department processes, tools and documentation including F-track, G-drive, Atlassian etc.
- Develop, improve and maintain all documentation for production workflows and tools
- Assist the HOP in setting common production and project practices and oversee their implementation across projects
- Be a point person for Ftrack, working closely with both pipeline and production in maintaining its development and best use within the organisation.
- Regular syncs with the Head of Production on the progress of the projects and production team members.
- Help develop and maintain production training plans & workshops for the full production team, ensuring consistency of production processes across all shows.

Studio
- Collaborate with the rest of the organisation on best practices, workflows and processes that supports project needs, the production team and company strategy
- Partner with the Technology department to determine internal software development requirements and appropriate use of vendor applications.
- Liaise with the other department heads to help prioritize Pipeline, R&D and IT work to align with company strategy and needs.

Project
- Jump on and set up, support or manage projects for a period of time and/or provide support to other Production Managers, Coordinators and PA’s in the team.
- Have regular check-ins with Project Production teams ensuring projects are following GBK processes.
- Work with the project leadership team on the training needs of the production managers, coordinators and PAs whilst on their project, producing a clear plan in accordance with the individual’s overall progress plan.

Communication
- Chair and organise various meetings as required, promoting collaboration & communication.
- Ensure department wiki and documentation is being kept up to date in collaboration with other key stakeholders.
