The Villa Gallici, a 5-star Relais & Châteaux hotel in Aix-en-Provence, is seeking a Chef de Rang. This full-time seasonal contract role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, managing special requests, collaborating with the kitchen, and maintaining a clean workspace. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, rigorous, dynamic, and passionate about hospitality, with significant experience in restaurant service and excellent customer service skills, including English proficiency.

Must Have

  • Welcome guests with courtesy and professionalism
  • Take orders and advise guests on the menu
  • Serve dishes and drinks with care and precision
  • Manage special guest requests and resolve any issues
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure food quality
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace
  • Participate in food preparation when necessary
  • Comply with current food safety standards
  • Significant experience in restaurant service, ideally as Chef de Rang or similar
  • Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of service and hospitality techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service
  • Proficiency in English

Job Description

Being a Chef de Rang at Taula Gallici: Reporting to our Restaurant Manager, you will:

  • Welcome guests with courtesy and professionalism,
  • Take orders and advise guests on the menu,
  • Serve dishes and drinks with care and precision,
  • Manage special guest requests and resolve any potential issues,
  • Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure the quality of dishes served,
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace,
  • Participate in food preparation when necessary,
  • Comply with current food safety standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Barista experience would be an additional asset.
  • You are able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service.
  • You are proficient in English.

Additional Information

Our collaboration:

  • Contract type: Seasonal fixed-term contract of 39 hours (From May 1st to October 31st, 2026)
  • Compensation: 1,950 € net per month
  • Hours: Split shifts or afternoon shifts
  • Days off: Two consecutive days per week
  • Accommodation: Not provided
