Villa Gallici 5*, a Relais & Châteaux hotel-restaurant in Aix-en-Provence, voted best hotel in France in 2021, is seeking a Head Waiter. The role involves courteously welcoming guests, taking orders, advising on the menu, serving dishes and drinks with precision, managing special requests, collaborating with the kitchen, and ensuring a clean workspace. This is a key role within a team dedicated to excellence, offering an exceptional working environment and a unique hospitality experience.

Must Have

• Welcome clients with courtesy and professionalism
• Take orders and advise clients on the menu
• Serve dishes and drinks with care and precision
• Manage special client requests and resolve any issues
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure the quality of dishes served
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace
• Participate in food preparation when necessary
• Comply with current food safety standards
• Significant experience in catering
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of service and hospitality techniques
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service
• Proficiency in English

Job Description

Being a Head Waiter at Taula Gallici: Reporting to our Restaurant Manager, you will:

• Welcome clients with courtesy and professionalism,
• Take orders and advise clients on the menu,
• Serve dishes and drinks with care and precision,
• Manage special client requests and resolve any potential issues,
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen to ensure the quality of dishes served,
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workspace,
• Participate in food preparation when necessary,
• Comply with current food safety standards.

Qualifications:

• You have significant experience in catering, ideally as a Head Waiter or in a similar position.

• Barista experience would be an additional asset.
• You are able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service.
• You are proficient in English.

Additional Information

Our collaboration:

• Contract type: Seasonal fixed-term contract of 39 hours (From April 1st to October 31st, 2026)
• Compensation: €1,950 net per month
• Hours: Split shifts or afternoon shifts
• Days off: Two consecutive days per week
• Accommodation: Not provided
