Job Description

As a Client Advisor in Marsh's Risk Management team, you will support Client Executives in managing a book of business and handling daily activities. This includes renewals, mid-term adjustments, invoicing, slip production, and client query resolution. You will work to retain and generate new business, manage account services, and build client relationships, ensuring compliance with industry standards. This hybrid role is based in Birmingham.
Must have:
  • Support Client Executives and lead Client Advisors in maintaining their book of business.
  • Handle day-to-day activities including renewals, mid-term adjustments, invoicing, slip production and client queries.
  • Work on all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients.
  • Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments for larger accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers.
  • Offer technical support for complex or high-priority relationships.
  • Serve as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answer client questions.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of changing market conditions and comply with all standards.
  • Previous experience within a similar role within commercial or corporate insurance or other insurance related field.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence to advise and negotiate.
  • Ability to build, manage and develop relationships.

Job Details

Client Advisor – Marsh RMP

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Management team at Marsh. This role can be based in the Birmingham office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be responsible for supporting Client Executives and lead Client Advisors in maintaining their book of business and handling the day-to-day activities including renewals, mid-term adjustments, invoicing, slip production and handling any client queries.

We will rely on you to:

  • Work with Client Executives and lead Client Advisors to retain and generate new business, by leveraging strategy information and managing contract reviews and midterm changes.
  • Work on all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards.
  • Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments and mid-term adjustments for a number of our larger accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth.
  • Offer technical support for complex or high-priority relationships when needed to ensure relationship satisfaction and maintain a mutual internal and external understanding.
  • Serve as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answer standard or more difficult client questions to improve the client experience.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of changing market condition and understands and complies with all compliance, professional and transparency standards to better serve clients

What you need to have:

  • Previous experience within a similar role within commercial or corporate insurance within a similar role or other insurance related field.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
