Job Description

Papaya is launching a new social competitive platform for creators to design skill-based mini-games and players to compete. The Community & Content Manager will own the social, community, and creative aspects, leading content, creator programs, and partnerships. This role involves building a vibrant social presence and creator community to drive engagement, retention, and revenue, bringing the Papaya world to life as the company expands into new markets.

  • Manage and grow the Creator Program, guiding both organic and paid creators.
  • Coordinate paid creator campaigns for new games, events, and seasonal activations.
  • Oversee Game Customization (GC) assets — curating new sound packs, visuals, and creator tools monthly.
  • Build and manage partnerships with brands, colleges, and cultural organizations across Canada and the U.S.
  • Launch co-branded challenges and events that boost engagement and awareness.
  • Identify local and digital partnership opportunities that drive user growth and retention.
  • Align content promotion strategies with monetization and retention KPIs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Monetization teams.
  • Develop social reward systems that tie community participation to in-app perks.
  • Manage user feedback loops, post-event surveys, and community insights reports.
  • 4–7 years of experience in community, content, or social management roles.
  • Proven success in managing creator programs and brand partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of social media dynamics, engagement loops, and viral content creation.
  • Expert-level knowledge and passion for generative AI.
  • Native English fluency.

As we expect to grow and expand into new markets, we’re looking for a passionate Community & Content Manager to bring our world to life.

We’re seeking a Community & Content Manager who will own the social, community, and creative heartbeat of Papaya. You’ll lead our content ecosystem, creator program, and partnerships — building a vibrant social presence and thriving creator community that drives engagement, retention, and revenue.

Responsibilities

Community & Social Growth

  • Build, manage, and grow active user communities across TikTok, Discord, Instagram, Reddit, and Facebook.
  • Create daily buzz around live-ops events, new game releases, and trending moments by diving into online forums, gaming communities, and social groups to spark conversations, generate excitement, and drive new installs.
  • Turn users into advocates through authentic engagement, contests, and user-led campaigns.
  • Gather community feedback and share actionable insights with Product and Marketing.

Content Strategy & Creator Program

  • Lead Papaya’s content layer, ensuring all materials are engaging, relevant, and aligned with live-ops and monetization goals.
  • Manage and grow the Creator Program, guiding both organic and paid creators.
  • Coordinate paid creator campaigns for new games, events, and seasonal activations.
  • Oversee Game Customization (GC) assets — curating new sound packs, visuals, and creator tools monthly.

Partnerships & Collaborations

  • Build and manage partnerships with brands, colleges, and cultural organizations across Canada and the U.S.
  • Launch co-branded challenges and events that boost engagement and awareness.
  • Identify local and digital partnership opportunities that drive user growth and retention.

Content Boosting & Performance

  • Align content promotion strategies with monetization and retention KPIs.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Monetization teams to ensure social efforts support key business metrics.

Reward & Engagement Systems

  • Develop social reward systems that tie community participation to in-app perks.
  • Manage user feedback loops, post-event surveys, and community insights reports.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in community, content, or social management roles, ideally in gaming or consumer tech.
  • Proven success in managing creator programs and brand partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of social media dynamics, engagement loops, and viral content creation.
  • Expert-level knowledge and passion for generative AI, including video creation, music, sound effects, images, and other creative applications. This role requires someone deeply familiar with and excited about the Gen AI field.
  • Advantage: Active creator presence on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) with experience in audience building and content experimentation.
  • Highly organized, creative, and data-driven.
  • Experience in North American markets (Canada/U.S.) preferred.
  • English: Native fluency – MUST.
