Job Description

As the Community Manager (CM) at 4J Studios, you will lead the communication strategy for the studio and its new game, Reforj. This involves building communication plans, fostering user relationships, and providing player feedback through monthly reports. The CM will collaborate closely with Production, Design, and Marketing teams to create engaging communication strategies, acting as the 'voice of the community' while maintaining a professional tone.
Good To Have:
  • Strong experience building and owning community strategies and campaigns with measurable impact.
  • Deep understanding of Discord and relevant tools that improve the community experience.
  • Ability to create compelling content that drives engagement.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding and experience of game development workflows and processes.
Must Have:
  • Own, develop, and execute the community strategy for Reforj.
  • Manage the day-to-day activity of all 4J Studios’ social media and community channels.
  • Plan and deliver a rolling monthly calendar of activity across core channels.
  • Work with internal and third-party suppliers to deliver social media content.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Discord community.
  • Drive continuous improvements of the Discord channel.
  • Produce and distribute monthly reports highlighting social media performance and community feedback.
  • Create and distribute regular reports to internal teams on community feedback, sentiment, and other metrics.
  • Develop and maintain a deep expertise on the game as an active player.
  • Experience managing video game communities.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of community management processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative creative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience representing a brand or game, including regular dialogue with the community.
  • Passionate about video games and the industry.
  • Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in Dundee, Scotland.

Community Manager

As the Community Manager (CM), you will own the communication strategy for 4J Studios and our new game Reforj. You will build communication plans, maintain relationships with our users, and create monthly reports that provide player feedback to the team. By having a strong knowledge of the game and its players, the CM will work closely with Production, Design, and Marketing teams to create communication strategies that are informative and engaging.

As Community Manager, you will act as the “voice of the community”, championing player feedback to internal stakeholders while also maintaining a professional tone of voice when speaking to the community.

Responsibilities

  • Own, develop, and execute the community strategy for Reforj.
  • Manage the day-to-day activity of all 4J Studios’ social media and community channels.
  • Plan and deliver a rolling monthly calendar of activity across the core channels to grow and engage the studio’s community and promote Reforj.
  • Work with both our internal and third-party suppliers to deliver social media content, ensuring alignment with ongoing marketing campaigns and brand guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our Discord community, becoming the trusted voice of the studio.
  • Drive continuous improvements of our Discord channel.
  • Produce and distribute monthly reports that highlight social media performance and community feedback.
  • Create and distribute regular reports to internal teams on community feedback, sentiment, and other metrics.
  • Develop and maintain a deep expertise on the game as an active player.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience managing video game communities.
