Community Lead

About the Role

C10 Labs is seeking a Community Lead to design, build, and grow the network that powers our venture studio in NYC. This role sits at the intersection of relationship building, strategy, and execution, connecting founders, investors, and expert operators to create tangible value for our portfolio companies and the broader AI ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines a founder’s mindset with an operator’s executional rigor and a genuine passion for connecting people. You will help shape how we engage our community, from hosting founder workshops, events, and working to grow our partnerships in NYC. and curated dinners to developing communication channels that inspire collaboration and accelerate company building.

What you will do

Build and nurture relationships

• Develop trusted, long-term relationships with founders, investors, operators, and subject-matter experts in the AI and startup ecosystem.
• Serve as an ambassador for C10 Labs, representing our mission and building authentic connections across the NYC and global AI communities.

Design and grow the network strategically

• Curate and expand a high-value network aligned with our investment focus and the evolving needs of our portfolio companies.
• Identify and engage new members who bring relevant expertise, capital, or operational experience to accelerate AI-first ventures.

Lead programming and events

• Plan and execute events that drive real outcomes, such as founder workshops, demo days, investor dinners, and curated roundtables.
• Collaborate with portfolio teams to deliver programming that supports go-to-market execution, hiring, and fundraising.

Own communications and content

• Serve as the central hub for communication in NYC.
• Develop newsletters, insights, and content that share thought leadership, highlight portfolio progress, and strengthen engagement for NYC.

Activate the platform

• Partner with the studio and investment teams to evolve C10 Labs’ platform offering, ensuring our founders receive meaningful support beyond capital.
• Connect portfolio companies to advisors, operators, and strategic partners who can help scale their ventures.

What We’re Looking For

• 5–10 years of experience in community building, partnerships, venture capital, or startup operations.
• Deep familiarity with the NYC and broader startup ecosystem, ideally with exposure to AI or frontier technology.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with genuine curiosity about people and ideas.
• Strong organizational and program management capabilities with a track record of turning ideas into action.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, unstructured environment that rewards initiative and creativity.
• Experience using tools such as Notion, Airtable, HubSpot, or similar platforms for managing networks and programs.
