Job Summary
This internship offers intensive, hands-on experience for a Community Manager Intern to build and nurture a game community from scratch. The role is integral to the launch team, providing direct learning from experienced developers and marketers. The intern will make a tangible impact on the game's success by actively managing community channels, engaging with players, creating content, moderating discussions, and relaying feedback to the development team.
Must Have
- Set up, animate, and grow player community ahead and during major launch.
- Participate in daily, proactive management of Discord, forums, and social channels.
- Engage deeply with players: answer questions, relay feedback, encourage discussion.
- Assist with creation of compelling content: announcements, patch notes, dev updates, FAQs, event posts.
- Help moderate discussions and ensure community rules are respected.
- Collect and summarize critical community feedback for development team.
- Support major launch beats from a strategic community perspective.
- 6 months on-site internship starting in May / June.
- Strong, demonstrated interest in strategy and/or deckbuilding genres, and for online communities.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Comfortable interacting proactively and independently with players in public spaces.
- Curious, proactive, and not afraid to ask questions or propose bold ideas.
- Organized and reliable to follow up on tasks and track complex discussions.
- Familiarity and proficiency with Discord and standard community platforms.
- Good understanding of how game launches work (wishlists, demos, festivals).
Good to Have
- Previous experience moderating or managing an online community (even voluntarily).
- Writing, storytelling, or content creation skills.

To support this pivotal phase, we are looking for a Community Manager Intern who wants intensive, hands-on experience building and nurturing a game community from the ground up, with an independent, "do-or-die" mindset.
This is not a passive moderation role: you will be a core part of the launch team, learning directly from experienced developers and marketers in our small, autonomous studio, making a tangible impact on the game's success.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
