Job Description

As a Senior Compositor, you'll integrate all layers and elements to produce final shots for feature films or episodic shows. Expertise in compositing, color science, and 2D image manipulation is crucial for high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities include collaborating with other compositors and the compositing supervisor to establish looks and follow style guides; demonstrating a solid understanding of light, shadow, color, and form to solve visual problems; receiving and implementing feedback efficiently; ensuring shots are delivered to the highest standards and on time; and sharing knowledge and mentoring other compositors. You'll also troubleshoot complex compositing scripts and utilize 2D image manipulation processes such as tracking, color correction, depth of field, and more to achieve photorealistic composites.
Must have:
  • 4+ years experience in compositing
  • Expert Nuke skills
  • Understanding of 3D computer graphics
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication
Good to have:
  • Traditional art, photography, and cinema experience
  • Python, Blinkscript, or C++ experience
  • Nuke particle experience
  • 360 VR or matrix compositing experience

Job Details

En tant que compositeur(e) senior, vous intégrerez tous les calques et éléments pour produire des plans finaux et complets pour des longs métrages ou des émissions épisodiques. Votre expertise en composition, en science des couleurs et en processus traditionnels de manipulation d'images 2D garantira des livraisons de haute qualité.

Principales responsabilités

    • Collaborer étroitement avec d'autres compositeurs et le responsable/superviseur de la composition pour établir des looks et/ou suivre la direction de style définie
    • Démontrer une solide compréhension de la lumière, de l'ombre, de la couleur et de la forme pour résoudre les problèmes de conception et autres problèmes visuels pour les prises de vue clés
    • Recevoir et mettre en œuvre les commentaires rapidement et efficacement tout en respectant les directives de production
    • S'assurer que les prises de vue sont livrées au plus haut niveau et dans les délais grâce à un travail d'équipe efficace et à des compétences supérieures en résolution de problèmes
    • Partager des connaissances, des techniques et encadrer d'autres compositeurs pour favoriser un environnement de travail collaboratif et inclusif
    • Comprendre et être capable de résoudre les problèmes de scripts de composition complexes et d'escalader les problèmes selon les besoins
    • Utiliser et partager les connaissances de base des processus de manipulation d'images 2D tels que le suivi, la correction des couleurs, la profondeur de champ, le resynchronisation, la déformation et les effets optiques photographiques pour obtenir des composites photoréalistes

Qualifications

    • 4+ années d'expérience en composition de longs métrages d'action réelle ou d'épisodes
    • Compétences d'expert Nuke et connaissance des flux de travail de composition
    • Compréhension générale de l'infographie 3D, y compris modélisation, éclairage et animation
    • Excellentes compétences en matière d'organisation et de gestion du temps
    • Capacité à accepter les directives de manière positive et à communiquer efficacement
    • Expérience en art traditionnel, photographie et cinéma (souhaité)
    • Expérience en Python, Blinkscript ou C++ (souhaité)
    • Expérience en particules nucléaires (souhaité)
    • Expérience en 360 VR ou en composition de matrice (souhaité)
