Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Construction Manager with a strong background in hotel development and real estate construction to lead and oversee complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The manager will develop and execute construction strategies, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with regulations, protecting client reputation, maximizing value, mitigating risks, and maintaining robust project controls.
Must Have
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of hotel and real estate construction projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and cost estimates, ensuring feasibility and efficiency.
- Oversee all on-site and off-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Manage subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Review and approve construction plans, designs, and documentation, ensuring alignment with statutory and contractual requirements.
- Identify and manage design changes, variations, and technical disputes, ensuring timely resolution and communication with project stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to the project quality plan and conduct regular audits to maintain high standards.
- Provide technical and commercial input during design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Support engineering and operations teams with construction-related issues and commissioning activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety considerations are integrated into all phases of construction.
- Maintain strong relationships with developers, architects, consultants, and local authorities.

The Construction Manager will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive construction strategies, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations. This professional will play a key role in protecting the client’s reputation, maximizing value, mitigating risks, and maintaining robust project controls throughout the lifecycle of hotel and mixed-use real estate developments.

Key Responsibilities

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record in hotel development, commercial real estate, and mixed-use projects.
- Experience in base building and fit-out projects for retail, hospitality, and shopping centers.
- Deep understanding of construction technologies, project controls, and commercial aspects of real estate development.
- Familiarity with local and international building codes, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
- PMI or PMP certification is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
