Job Description

PwC is seeking a Contracts Lawyer to join its internal Legal Department in France. This role involves advising and supporting PwC's various business lines, particularly in Deals/Transactions and Consulting, on client contractualization. The successful candidate will be involved in discussions, negotiations, and contract finalization, ensuring compliance with international PwC network standards and addressing complex legal issues related to client, partner, and subcontractor agreements.

Must Have:
  • University law degree (Master 1 and Master 2)
  • At least 3 years of experience in contract law within a legal department of an investment bank, financial institution, or consulting firm
  • Proven expertise in analyzing, negotiating, and drafting intellectual services contracts
  • Good understanding of legal issues in the transactions and consulting sector
  • Very good command of English for negotiating contracts (written and oral)

Job Description & Summary

If you are motivated to support and advise, with great autonomy and in a highly international environment, in a "Business Partner" spirit, the various businesses of PwC in the contractualization of missions with their clients, then the 20 members of PwC's internal Legal Department in France are waiting for you. What you can expect from us:

  • At the heart of strategic operations, you intervene in discussions, negotiations and contractualization of relations with PwC clients in France, particularly within the Deals/Transactions activities (e.g. Financial advisory, due diligence, M&A, restructuring), and Consulting (sectoral expertise, support for strategic and operational transformation); in this context, you support partners and collaborators in these key stages of the relationship with their clients and all stakeholders in the demanding and dynamic ecosystem of transactions and consulting;
  • You assist PwC teams on complex and high-impact subjects, in structuring and concluding contracts with their clients, partners and subcontractors;
  • In this context, you advise the teams in light of the international standards of the PwC network, on a wide variety of issues (e.g.: framework agreements, confidentiality agreements, liability release letters, engagement letters, subcontracting agreements) in relation to securing the commitments and varied service offerings of PwC France, imbued with innovation and digital transformation.

What we can expect from you:

  • Your 2nd cycle university law degree (Master 1 and Master 2), supplemented, where applicable, by a business school curriculum, as well as your experience of at least 3 years in contract law within a legal department of an investment bank, financial institution or consulting firm, have made you a reference in the analysis, negotiation and drafting of intellectual services contracts.
  • Your good understanding of the legal challenges in the transactions and consulting sector is an asset for this position.
  • Your very good command of English allows you to easily negotiate contracts in English, both written and oral.
