Axel Springer is seeking an experienced CvD / Editor (m/f/d) to join Germany's leading news channel in Berlin. This role involves planning, designing, and managing current WELT news broadcasts and special programs, including topic selection, editorial supervision of staff, and quality control of content. The successful candidate will be responsible for building news broadcasts, overseeing them from the control room, identifying new topics, and creating various journalistic formats for TV and cross-media platforms. Must Have

• Experience in content control of magazine and news productions on TV
• Completed degree and/or traineeship or comparable journalistic training
• Experience as CvD / RvD in the editorial TV area
• Stylistically confident in writing, visual language, and video storytelling
• Sense for relevant stories and dramaturgy in implementation
• Broad journalistic horizon with interest in current news
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to work in shifts, including Sundays and public holidays

What you will move with us:

• you are responsible for the planning, design, and execution of current WELT news broadcasts as well as special broadcasts
• topic identification and assignment are just as much a part of your tasks as the editorial supervision of editors, presenters, and reporters
• you control the content and technical quality of contributions / presentations / graphics for current broadcasts
• you build current news broadcasts and supervise them as the responsible editor in the control room
• you recognize new topics and implement them accordingly in the program
• you create reports, off-mazes, reports, features, reporter-mazes, news films, and interviews for news broadcasts, magazines, and specials
• you observe current developments in all topic areas and develop suggestions for the topic conference

What you bring:

• you are an experienced journalist and are familiar with the content control of magazine and news productions on TV
• you have a completed degree and/or traineeship or comparable journalistic training
• with your experience as CvD / RvD in the editorial TV area, you are stylistically confident in writing, visual language, and video storytelling
• you have a sense for relevant stories and dramaturgy in implementation
• you are characterized by your broad journalistic horizon with an interest in current news
• you communicate fluently in German and English
• you enjoy working in shifts, including Sundays and public holidays
