About the position

We're looking for a Data Engineer who is ready to tackle big challenges and advance their career. In this role, you'll join a dynamic team committed to creating cutting-edge solutions that significantly impact critical heavy asset industries. You'll join a global team, collaborate with industry leaders, solution architects, data scientists and project managers, all dedicated to deploying and optimizing digital solutions that empower our clients to make informed business decisions. At our office in Oslo we have a strong data engineering community consisting of 25 dedicated data engineers.

A typical day as a Cogniter will contain the following tasks & responsibilities

• Design and implementation of scalable and efficient data engineering solutions using our platform Cognite Data Fusion.
• Manage integrations, extractions, data modeling, and analysis using Cognite data connectors and SQL, Python/Java and Rest APIs
• Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing
• Collaborate with data scientists, project managers and solution architects on project deliveries to enable our customers to achieve the full potential of our industrial dataops platform
• Support customers and partners in conducting data engineering tasks with Cognite products.
• Implement Cognite's proprietary AI solutions for data onboarding, incorporating recent developments in Gen AI and LLMs
• Travel to customers on projects all over Europe, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the success of diverse industries across the continent
• Contribute to the development of Cognite’s official tools and SDKs

We believe most of these should match your experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
• Minimum 1,5 years of experience in a customer-facing Data intense role
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Rest APIs and Git
• Knowledge on Kubernetes, GCP, Azure and/or AWS is desirable
• To succeed in the role we believe you are an eager cross collaborator, motivated by solving complex problems for our customers
