The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Reporting Analyst to lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics within the Workday platform. In addition to serving as a subject matter expert, partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, and Leadership teams to deliver actionable insights, this role will also play a broader part in shared services and automation initiatives (such as Help and similar platforms). The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Workday reporting tools with strong communication skills and a forward-looking mindset—able to leverage AI/ML and automation to streamline processes, enhance user experience, and translate complex requirements into scalable, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and custom analytics (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Prism, Discovery Boards, BIRT).
- Ensure reporting accuracy, integrity, compliance, and alignment with security and data privacy standards.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Leadership teams to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests and provide timely, accurate analyses.
- Document reporting processes, maintain a reporting catalog, and support data governance practices, and maintain user-friendly documentation library.
- Support Workday upgrades and feature releases through testing and validation of reporting functionality.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing reporting efficiency, expanding self-service capabilities, and mentoring team members.
Skills you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HR Analytics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite, custom and Discovery Boards).
- Proficiency with Prism Analytics and BIRT (certifications strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of HR processes including HCM, Payroll, Talent, and Compensation.
- Good hands-on experience of the Workday Security Framework.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
- Experience with Workday upgrades, data governance, and familiarity with tools such as SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
