Data Engineer

T-Systems ICT India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience to lead data product development and migration from on-prem Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves architecting ETL pipelines, designing data quality frameworks, optimizing PySpark jobs, and collaborating with stakeholders. The successful candidate will also provide technical mentorship and focus on cost optimization for compute, storage, and orchestration.

Must Have

• Drive code optimization, fallback recovery design, and efficient deployment of PySpark jobs

• Lead data product development and migration from on-prem Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Architect and develop ETL pipelines and data lake/warehouse solutions for analytical and operational workloads
• Design and implement data quality and validation frameworks to maintain high data reliability
• Drive code optimization, fallback recovery design, and efficient deployment of PySpark jobs
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Provide technical mentorship to the data engineering team and enforce best practices in coding, versioning, and testing
• Continuously optimize compute, storage, and orchestration costs while maintaining performance at scale
