Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the Agglayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the Agglayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and Polygon Miden, which is in development as well as Polygon CDK.

Your Role

As a DeFi Business Development Specialist reporting to the Head of DeFi, you will serve as a key player in the expansion of Polygon Labs’ DeFi ecosystem. Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to help grow the most exciting DeFi platforms in the space? This role is for someone passionate about blockchain technology and excited to drive adoption across the Polygon networks.

You’ll work directly with innovative DeFi-native teams and thought leaders across the globe. The next phase for the DeFi team centers on building and supporting native products across Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and CDK-enabled chains. About the Team

The DeFi team at Polygon Labs is one of the most recognized and well-established in the blockchain space. We focus on enabling sustainable, on-chain business models and supporting innovative DeFi primitives. Over the next few years, our priority is building native DeFi products across various Polygon networks. You will work in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment alongside passionate, DeFi-native builders and be in regular contact with senior leadership on strategy and execution.

Your Responsibilities

• Participate in in-person and virtual meetings to pitch, onboard, and support DeFi initiatives across Polygon networks.

• Develop and execute strategy across multiple Polygon ecosystems: Polygon PoS, Polygon zkEVM, and CDK-enabled chains.

• Represent Polygon Labs at conferences and events globally.

• Build and manage a pipeline of DeFi-native projects with a strategic view of long-term ecosystem growth.

• Cultivate subject-matter expertise in emerging DeFi primitives and create frameworks for evaluating new narratives and projects.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Growth, Payments, Real-World Assets (RWA), CDK, and Enterprise to integrate DeFi applications.

• Provide hands-on support to projects building within the Polygon ecosystem and facilitate alignment with core Polygon Labs initiatives.

What You'll Need

• 2–4 years of experience working in decentralized finance (DeFi).

• Previous experience in a business development role, with strong communication skills geared toward high-priority external stakeholders.

• A well-established network within the DeFi space.

• Strong analytical skills to assess project fit and strategic alignment within the Polygon ecosystem.
