Job Description

This role involves managing the deployment of Supercharger stations across EMEA and beyond, focusing on regions like the Middle East, South/Latin America, and Central Europe. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from A-Z, encompassing permitting, design, contracting, and construction coordination. The Deployment Manager will provide technical support to the Project Development team, manage subcontractors, liaise with grid operators, handle local administration for permits, and report on progress, costs, and performance. Extensive international travel (up to 90%) is required for periods of up to a month. The successful candidate will be results-driven, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and have a passion for renewable energy and e-mobility.

Must have:

2+ years experience in medium-voltage construction project management
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Extensive international travel (up to 90%)
Fluency in English

Good to have:

Experience in EV charging or renewable energy
Spanish fluency

We are seeking an experienced Deployment Manager to drive the growth of our Supercharger network across the EMEA region and beyond. Regions will include Middle East, South/Latin America, Central Europe and beyond. You will be responsible for multiple projects from A-Z, including permitting, design, contracting, and coordinating the construction phase of new Superchargers.

As a Deployment Manager in Emerging Markets Supercharging team, you'll have the opportunity to travel extensively and experience everything the largest charging network has to offer. And all of this while working on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of sustainable energy.

You will be part of a team with members all across EMEA. Your base location can be flexible, but the HQ will be in Amsterdam. We like to be results driven, and therefore you get the freedom to shape the role as best suits you.

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical support to the Project Development team during the conversations and negotiations with potential site hosts

• Responsible for the design and permitting phase and selection of subcontractor(s)

• Oversee all onsite constructions, visit construction sites and coordinate and direct subcontractors

• Report to internal and external stakeholders on progress, costs and performance

• Liaise with grid-operators to establish the grid connection

• Manage the local and regional administration to achieve all the required permits

• Ensure projects are delivered cost effectively within the established timeline

• Identify potential roadblocks and provide creative solutions

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience in A-Z project management of medium-voltage construction and/or installation projects, experience in the EV charging or renewable energy industry is a plus

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve to well-judged decisions

• Capability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal- and external stakeholders

• Affinity with the renewable energy sector/e-mobility and a passion to learn

• Willing and able to travel extensively on a regular basis (up to 90% travel) for periods up to a month

• Valid Driver's License

• Fluency in English required, Spanish fluency is a nice to have
