Attached to the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) Digital Accelerator, the Design Authority Digital Product and Data Engineering plays an essential role in supporting Thales's Digital Product and Data Engineering factories (approximately 60 people). Its mission is to carry the technical vision and transform IT practices by relying on cutting-edge expertise, concrete "hands-on" commitment, and a strong sensitivity to user experience and business value creation. It contributes to the global modernization of applications towards the Cloud, promotes the best Agile, DevOps, and platform engineering practices, and acts as an innovation leader for teams and management.

Its main missions are:

• Define and design practices, processes, and architectures for application development, data engineering, and system administration factories, covering more than 150 initiatives and applications.
• Champion the vision and convince CIOs, directors, architects, and teams of the value and benefits of Cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, and value-oriented development.
• Validate and ensure the architecture and technical choices of the squads, accompanying them in the transformation and modernization towards the Cloud.
• Create standards, facilitate exchanges between experts, encourage technical documentation, and develop an internal developer platform to accelerate innovation.
• Ensure operational excellence (CI/CD, testing, frequent deployments, cloud security), personally getting involved in development to meet the most complex technical challenges.

Your profile

Coming from a higher education in computer science (Bac+5, Master or equivalent), you have significant experience as a principal or senior engineer, ideally in critical areas.

Technical skills:

• Strong experience in cloud and application architecture, with regular deployment of custom-developed applications
• Mastery of data models, advanced understanding of fullstack source code, and concrete experience with Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, IAM, etc.)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows

Soft skills:

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to clearly document and present results
• Team spirit and ability to collaborate cross-functionally, simplifying complex topics for various stakeholders
