Job Description

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated, hands-on Destruction Technician responsible for the accurate and secure processing and destruction of customer materials at the facility. Key duties include sorting, preparing, and destroying materials using established procedures, safely operating production machinery like forklifts and skid steers, and ensuring compliance with all safety and security standards. This role requires physical tasks in an industrial environment, emphasizing material security and operational efficiency.
Must Have:
  • Accurately sort, prepare, and destroy all customer materials delivered to the production facility using established procedures and maintaining strict security.
  • Safely operate production machinery such as Forklift and skid steer.
  • Adhere to all organizational standards for safety and security, and perform all tasks with the utmost regard for physical safety and material security.
  • 1+ year of experience in shredding, recycling, warehouse operations, or a similar production environment.
  • Current and valid Forklift and Skid Steer Operator certifications.
  • Proven ability to safely operate machinery and perform physical tasks without assistance, including lifting heavy bags and pushing/pulling rolling carts and containers, and working comfortably in a non-climate controlled industrial environment.

What You’ll Do :

In this role you will:

  • Process and Secure Materials: Accurately sort, prepare, and destroy all customer materials delivered to the production facility using established procedures and maintaining strict security.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment: Safely operate production machinery such as Forklift and skid steer
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all organizational standards for safety and security, and perform all tasks with the utmost regard for physical safety and material security.

What You'll Bring :

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1+ year of experience in shredding, recycling, warehouse operations, or a similar production environment
  • Mandatory Certification: Current and valid Forklift and Skid Steer Operator certifications.
  • Proven ability to safely operate machinery and perform physical tasks without assistance, including lifting heavy bags and pushing/pulling rolling carts and containers, and working comfortably in a non-climate controlled industrial environment
