PlaySimple Games, founded in 2014, is a fast-growing mobile gaming company creating global casual game experiences. They have a worldwide network of chart-topping games and robust tech/analytics infrastructure. The Director of Data Science will define and execute the data science strategy, lead a high-performing team, and drive the development of advanced analytics, AI, ML, and DL solutions to deliver measurable business impact, focusing on innovation in AI, including LLMs, recommendation systems, computer vision, and multimodal applications.

Must Have:

Lead the data science vision and roadmap, aligning initiatives with business goals.
Build, review, and optimize complex models, pipelines, and AI/ML solutions.
Mentor and grow a team of data scientists, promoting best practices and reproducibility.
Collaborate across product, engineering, and business teams to translate insights into action.
Drive innovation in AI, including LLMs, recommendation systems, computer vision, and multimodal applications.
15+ years in data science with 5 - 7 years in leadership.
Proven track record as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor.
Deep expertise in ML/DL, AI, statistics, big data, and production deployments.
Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformer, Stable diffusion models, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Job Description

Role- Director of Data Science

We are looking for a visionary Director of Data Science who is both a strategic leader and a hands-on AI - ML - DL practitioner. You will define and execute our data science strategy, lead a high-performing team, and drive the development of advanced analytics, AI, ML, and DL solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

What We’re Looking For:

15+ years in data science with 5 - 7 years in leadership.
Proven track record as both a strategic leader and hands-on contributor.
Deep expertise in ML/DL, AI, statistics, big data, and production deployments.
Hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformer, Stable diffusion models, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Strong business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
