Job Summary

Salesforce is seeking a Director/Sr. Manager of Business Operations & Strategy to act as the operational and financial bridge between Engineering's technical vision and financial rigor. This leadership role involves FinOps strategic planning, Cloud Infrastructure Economics, and executing Agentic Enterprise Transformations within the Engineering COO office. The ideal candidate is financially savvy, data-driven, possesses strong executive presence, and can drive an AI-first operating model governed by FinOps principles, building high-trust relationships across Finance, Engineering, and Product organizations.

Must Have

  • Be the thought leader and orchestrator for AI product unit cost and economics.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to operationalize Agentforce ideas, implementing and governing FinOps policies, metrics, and consumption models.
  • Define and drive the strategic vision and roadmap for Agentforce (AI) adoption, focusing on scalability and financial return.
  • Provide strategic insights and business analytical intelligence to guide Cloud Infrastructure investment decisions.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, tech corporate/product strategy, investment banking or corporate finance related roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a technical domain with significant financial impact.
  • Deep understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Economics, and consumption models.
  • Deep understanding of Agentforce (AI/Agents) concepts, data, and underlying Cloud Infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc).
  • Exceptional executive communication and presence.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Data analytical and dashboard skills (Tableau, Snowflake, PowerBI, Python or equivalent).
  • A related technical or business degree (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance).

As the Director/Sr. Manager of Business Operations & Strategy, you will serve as the operational and financial bridge between Engineering's long-term technical vision and the immediate financial rigor required to achieve that vision. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role that blends FinOps strategic planning and Cloud Infrastructure Economics with the operational discipline necessary to execute complex Agentic Enterprise Transformations within the Engineering COO office.

About You

  • You are financial savvy, with solid understanding of Cloud Economics and Public Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) as well as LLM.
  • You have a data-driven mindset and possess solid expertise in leveraging business analytics, Cloud Economics, and consumption models to drive high-stakes investment decisions.
  • You possess excellent executive presence and communication skills required to influence priorities and drive alignment across global stakeholders.
  • You are comfortable bending effortlessly between the tactical (analyzing cloud usage and costs) and the strategic (long-term product roadmap and investment vision).
  • You are a catalyst for change, driving an organizational shift toward an AI-first operating model governed by FinOps principles..
  • You are a strategic orchestrator who builds high-trust relationships with both internal Engineering leadership and external C-level customer teams.
  • You build high-trust relationships to secure cross-functional buy-in and action, particularly among Finance, Engineering, and Product organizations.

Your Impact

  • AI Product Economics: Be the thought leader and orchestrator to enable and enhance visibility for AI product unit cost and economics.
  • FinOps Operational Excellence: Partner with Engineering leadership and other functional leaders to operationalize the ideas generated regarding Agentforce by implementing and governing FinOps policies, metrics, and consumption models.
  • Define and Drive AI Strategy: Be the key partner to executive management in defining the strategic vision and roadmap for Agentforce (AI) adoption, focusing on scalability and financial return (ROI) realized through efficient infrastructure use.
  • Business Value Realization: Provide strategic insights and business analytical intelligence to guide Cloud Infrastructure investment decisions, focusing on consumption model optimization and demonstrating the financial benefit of innovation and transformation.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in management consulting, tech corporate/product strategy, investment banking or corporate finance related roles.
  • 3+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional projects in a technical domain with significant financial impact (e.g., Cloud Infrastructure, FinOps implementation, or Enterprise SaaS).
  • Deep and required understanding of Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Economics, and consumption models.
  • Deep understanding of Agentforce (AI/Agents) concepts, data, and the underlying Cloud Infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP etc)
  • Exceptional executive communication and presence, with proven experience synthesizing complex technical and financial data into clear, persuasive narratives for senior leadership.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills (e.g., ROI analysis, cost-benefit analysis of cloud services, financial scenario planning).
  • Data analytical and dashboard skills (Tableau, Snowflake, PowerBI, Python or equivalent).
  • A related technical or business degree required (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance). Advanced degrees preferred (Masters, MBAs, etc.).

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $162,600 to $268,900.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $177,600 to $293,900.
