Job Summary

We are seeking a technically minded Engineer Estimator to join our high-performing operations team in a full-time, permanent role. This role involves preparing and submitting accurate internal costings, quotations, and budget estimates across a wide range of projects. The Engineer Estimator will also provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring prompt responses and follow-up to enquiries and technical issues, and contributing to customer satisfaction and project success.

Must Have

  • Prepare accurate internal costings and Bills of Materials (BOM) using ERP system and internal tools
  • Respond to technical queries and escalate complex issues to the Operations Manager
  • Provide coverage for technical order processing and issue work to the Production Team
  • Analyze cost data using spreadsheets and maintain material and labor estimation records
  • Assist with CAD drawing support and design to develop or enhance fork and attachment designs
  • Liaise with key stakeholders across departments to ensure smooth and accurate information flow
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in estimation, costing, and technical processes
  • Experience in attachment manufacturing, engineering, or material handling environment
  • Proficiency in CAD Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering data
  • Detail-oriented and technically minded approach
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and general IT tools
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and contribute effectively within a team
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Ability to communicate in Simplified Chinese to liaise with our technical team based in China

Engineer Estimator

We are seeking a technically minded Engineer Estimator to join our high-performing operations team in a full-time, permanent role. This is a great opportunity for someone with exposure to engineering environments and a solid understanding of the manufacturing or material handling industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the CAM Attachments Australia team, you’ll be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate internal costings, quotations, and budget estimates across a wide range of projects, while providing technical support to both internal and external stakeholders. You will always put the customer at the center of everything you do, ensuring prompt responses and follow-up to enquiries and technical issues.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate internal costings and Bills of Materials (BOM) using our ERP system and internal tools.
  • Responding to technical queries and escalating complex issues to the Operations Manager
  • Providing coverage for technical order processing and issuing work to the Production Team
  • Analyzing cost data using spreadsheets and maintaining material and labor estimation records
  • Assisting with CAD drawing support and design, in conjunction with other team members within TVH, to develop or enhance fork and attachment designs based on the requirements of our customers and sales team members
  • Liaising with key stakeholders across departments to ensure smooth and accurate information flow
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in estimation, costing, and technical processes
  • You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service and timely technical support — directly contributing to customer satisfaction and overall project success.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a mechanical engineer with:

  • Experience in an attachment manufacturing, engineering, or material handling environment
  • Proficiency in CAD Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering data
  • A detail-oriented and technically minded approach
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel and general IT tools.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and contribute effectively within a team
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all activities
  • The ability to communicate in Simplified Chinese to liaise with our technical team based in China will be highly regarded.
