Job Description

Broadcom, through its VMware subsidiary, is seeking an Engineering Manager for the GPU Virtualization Team. This role involves leading a team of System Software Engineers to integrate GPUs from vendors like Nvidia, AMD, and Intel into the ESXi Operating System, providing acceleration for AI/ML and Graphics applications in Virtual Machines. The manager will collaborate with various internal teams, drive innovation, and shape the future of GPU virtualization within a fast-paced environment.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of VMware's ESXi hypervisor and its kernel components.
  • Experience with GPU Technologies.
  • Experience with Kernel Development and/or Graphics Drivers.
Must Have:
  • Lead a team of System Software Engineers focused on GPU virtualization.
  • Collaborate with GPU vendors like Nvidia, AMD, and Intel to integrate their latest data center GPUs with ESXi hypervisor.
  • Oversee the GPU virtualization stack, working closely with Kernel, Hypervisor, and VCenter UI teams.
  • Create detailed plans for delivery and meet committed execution timelines.
  • Hire, train, and supervise engineering staff members.
  • Contribute to setting strategic goals and provide insights on GPU Technology trends.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
  • Design and document processes to improve team efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards.
  • Proficiency with complex software products.
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 10 years of related experience.

Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of System Software Engineers focused on GPU virtualization. You will oversee the GPU virtualization stack, working closely with the Kernel team, Hypervisor team, and VCenter UI team. Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $141,300 - $226,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
