Must have:
  • 3-5+ years of ETL support experience with Matillion and Informatica
  • Expertise in SQL and Snowflake, including query optimization.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing ETL jobs and pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud-based ETL processing, AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with financial data processing and compliance.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices for ETL automation.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages for automation and data processing.
  • Proficiency in API-based data exchange and troubleshooting integrations.
  • Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Job Details

We are seeking a skilled ETL Support Engineer to maintain and optimize enterprise ETL processes and data pipelines using Matillion and Informatica. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and support of ETL workflows that serve Snowflake and various financial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in data integration, and a customer-focused approach to supporting ETL operations.

This role is ideal for a driven and detail-oriented ETL engineer passionate about ensuring data reliability, optimizing ETL processes, and supporting critical business applications. Must have a strong analytical mindset and thrive in a fast-paced support environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for ETL pipelines built in Matillion and Informatica, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, data inconsistencies, and performance issues affecting Snowflake and financial applications.
  • Monitor ETL job execution, identify failures or inefficiencies, and implement proactive improvements to enhance performance and stability.
  • Support data movement and transformation across various systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance with business rules.
  • Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand and resolve data-related challenges.
  • Perform SQL query tuning and optimization within Snowflake to enhance ETL processing efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for ETL deployments, ensuring smooth and automated deployments.
  • Utilize scripting and programming languages (Python, Shell, or SQL) for automation, debugging, and data processing.
  • Support API-based data integrations where necessary, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
  • Ensure ETL security best practices, including data access controls and compliance with governance standards.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, best practices, and system changes for knowledge sharing and process standardization.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in ETL support and operations, working with Matillion and Informatica.
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Snowflake, including query optimization and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing ETL jobs, workflows, and data pipelines.
  • Understanding of cloud-based ETL processing, especially in AWS or Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with financial data processing and compliance requirements in enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and experience using tools like Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps for ETL automation.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) for automation and data processing.
  • Proficiency in API-based data exchange and ability to troubleshoot REST/SOAP-based integrations.
  • Experience with job scheduling and monitoring tools, ensuring ETL processes run efficiently and are properly logged.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to handle complex ETL issues and optimize workflows.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support users and work across different IT teams.
