Position Summary:

AGBO is looking for an Executive Producer to lead the development and production of interactive projects that are rich in story, character, and world-building. This role is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of high-quality gaming experiences while ensuring alignment with business goals. This role will oversee development timelines, budgets, and teams, collaborating with internal and external partners to deliver world-class interactive entertainment. The role is ideal for a collaborative leader who thrives at the intersection of creativity, production, and strategy - and who has a passion for pushing the boundaries of storytelling through gameplay.

This role is based in Raleigh, NC, and we're primarily seeking candidates who are currently located in the area or are open to relocating. In-person collaboration with our technical and creative teams is essential to the success of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative & Strategic Leadership

  • Own the long-term strategy, release roadmap, and overall quality of the game, ensuring creative excellence and sustainable success.
  • Foster a community-centric publishing strategy, leveraging player insights and engagement to inform development and strengthen the game’s ecosystem.
  • Partner with creative leadership to support, interpret and execute the creative vision.
  • Translate high level strategic goals into actionable production plans, ensuring clarity of priorities and resource allocation.
  • Provide oversight across all phases of development—from early prototyping to launch and live support.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, player behavior, and emerging platforms to inform product direction and innovation.
  • Help set quality benchmarks and creative goals that align with AGBO’s reputation for excellence.

Production Management

  • Provide visionary leadership to the development organization, inspiring teams to stay focused, aligned, and driven toward a shared product vision.
  • Lead internal and external teams through the game development lifecycle, balancing timelines, budgets, and creative objectives with disciplined production practices.
  • Establish, evolve and standardize production workflows, methodologies, and tools to support efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies for mitigation and course correction.
  • Drive alignment across project schedules, milestones, and stakeholder expectations, maintaining momentum and clarity through all phases of development.

Team Building & Collaboration

  • Foster a sense of ownership and shared purpose across teams, inspiring individuals to take accountability while cultivating harmony, and trust.
  • Empower department leads and producers to take ownership of their craft areas while maintaining cohesive communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Work closely with designers, engineers, artists, producers, and external collaborators to bring concepts to life.
  • Build, lead, and mentor cross-disciplinary teams, enabling AGBO’s culture of creative excellence and core values of compassion, collaboration and innovation.

External Partnerships

  • Identify and manage key relationships with external developers, publishers, and platforms.
  • Collaborate across internal departments (marketing, legal, finance, strategy, etc.) to ensure successful project development and launch.
  • Explore opportunities to integrate AGBO’s proprietary technologies and creative tools into interactive pipelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years of production, development, and product management experience on a live game as a service product
  • 5+ years of leadership role (within the 10+ years of game experience)
  • Deep understanding of game production pipelines, development cycles, and team dynamics across various platforms and genres.
  • Strong creative sensibility with a passion for narrative-forward experiences.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience working with both internal studios and external partners.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, early-development environment.
  • Prior experience in AAA development, live service, or narrative-driven games is a plus.
